EINSTEIN KAFFEE ZOO - Berlin - Charlottenburg - Tiergarten — Restaurant in Berlin

The service at this café was very slow and inattentive. The place didn’t have a comfortable temperature, and although Google says they have Wi-Fi, we were told that the two visible connections were for the establishment’s use only, not for customers, even though there were several tables with power outlets available, as shown in the photo.

In the past, I had worked here with a laptop without any problem, but now, even though there was enough space to work, I was told it couldn’t be used.

Additionally, one of the customers was told they couldn’t be served in English, only in German, and this, combined with the fact that the café is in Zoo, one of the busiest and most touristy areas of the city, near the center, tourist attractions, and a major train station, S-Bahn and U-Bahn, makes the overall experience even more disappointing. This is not a place I would recommend...

It is often difficult to find a cafe that opens early and closes late on a weekday, much less in the weekend. However this branch of Einstein Kaffee, conveniently located on a corner of the Bikini Berlin Mall in West Berlin, opens daily from 8am to midnight. This means you can drop by for breakfast in the morning (no cooked breakfasts, but good selection of pastries and of course their signature apple strudel), tea in the afternoon, and post-dinner dessert (large selection of cakes including cheesecake) at night. Both the white chocolate carrot cake and the chocolate fudge cake were delicious. Cappuccino was also really good! Cake + capuccino were 11€ so it’s a fair price for Kudamm. The place is cozy although it’s right by the station and it was full and despite being small had a few nice places to sit at.
