My dear. I just come from the café. I walked for one hour in Prenzlauer Berg until I found the type of café that I was looking for, and found it in the Elf Café. I loved the old arm chairs, the müesli was unbelievably delicious -organic yogurt with loads of delicious fruit-, very good coffee, and a fine choice of quite neutral music that doesn't bother your reading at all, but that also encompasses your moments of thinking and looking around. Unfortunately these are the only positive aspects..I order an Eistee for 5,20€ and it was so bitter and sour that I couldn't drink it. And I drink water and lemon sometimes, with no sugar, at home, so I'm used to it. It was basically cold sparkling water with bitter lime in it. No sugar, no flavours, nothing. My friends also had Eistee (different flavours) and they tasted awful too. I mean, for that price...they should also be hausgemacht, according to the menu. Just not the case! Overpriced, extremely expensive!!

I have been here 2-3 times now because I live close and I like the park on Arnimplatz, but they are understaffed and the service is very slow, any day of the week but especially the weekends. Food is pricy and old school, I don’t see the point in paying 17€ for scrambled eggs and a coffee.. there are better options to eat and drink a block away. They really offer nothing on their menu that I can’t cook at home for 3€. If you happen to be nearby and have a craving, a quick search will yield you more satisfying food and spare you some time...
