This place is like fast food and fine seafood had a baby — and it’s raised by a charismatic Italian dad who insists on cooking everything himself. The fish? Amazing. The seafood? So fresh it probably said “ciao” to the ocean this morning.

But let me tell you about the vibe: they really committed to the theme here. On the TV? Ocean documentaries. Near the restroom? Actual marine buoys. And the restroom sign? It’s a freaking anchor! I half-expected a mermaid to take my order.

Now, the food’s great, but the fries? They were so over-fried I thought I might chip a tooth. Honestly, I should’ve warned them: “Hey, I like my potatoes alive, not cremated.”

Still, the place is a gem. It’s low-key, full of locals, and completely off the tourist radar. A German friend tipped me off about it — and thank Poseidon she did. So if you’re in the mood for seafood, quirky details, and a dash of Italian flair, drop...

We ordered a two person platter which included two glasses of white wine for 49 euro. An amazing price for the amazingly fresh and generous portion of seafood which arrived at our table. A perfect sharing platter filled with varying seafood. The owner and staff of the small and humble diner were friendly, warm, helpful and welcoming, providing both German and English menus. A small and humble diner that does not portray themselves as a large and successful business even though they are successful. They are perfect the way they are. Die Fischfabrik has acquired many loyal and returning customers, and prices are extremely reasonable especially for the quality and standard of the food they serve. Highly recommended to Berliners and visitors to Berlin. They are a small secret of Berlin that deserves a shout out...

The best fish place in Berlin I've ever tried. The owners are almost always there, always friendly and ready to give suggestions if you're not well-versed in seafood world. The food tastes fresh and delicious.

I took 4 different friends in different occasions and each are always happy and satisfied with Fischfabrik. It's also very well priced compared to the competitors.

The only downside in my opinion is that the place is not that spacious, plus they cook in front of you, which will make you smell like food afterwards. I actually prefer to come during summer so I can sit outside to avoid the smell lingering on me and to have more space. But I still go during colder months, since it's very worth it...

Very fresh & delicious seafood. Do take note of the menu on the blackboard as they are not included in the main menu!
