Tried the veggie and meat meatballs and both were tasty, however I definitely preferred the meat ones.
I think all of the elements of the meal were executed pretty well: the fries were fresh and remained tasty even when they got colder towards the end of the meal; the mash was a nice texture; the gravy was delicious; and the cucumber salad really helped balance out the heaviness of the meat and potatoes. Everything was pretty well-salted to my tastes.
The meal was good and I enjoyed it, however my natural inclination is to compare it with IKEA’s version or the version I tried in Sweden. It obviously isn’t as cheap as IKEA and it also didn’t compare with the taste and quality of the one I had in Sweden (which was a lot more expensive, bare in mind), so it feels pricey even though it probably isn’t, given that they try to locally source their ingredients.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was just okay. It definitely felt like a fast food experience as the lighting was quite harsh and the vibe is very casual. The music was a bit random as well. Service was fine, no complaints.
All in all, would recommend to those looking for fast/casual dining and who are in the mood for a...
Read moreI got the standard-sized No!Beef Bullar with mashed potatoes and cucumber salad and found the meal super nourishing and hearty! I loved the texture of the bullar (my first bite made me wonder if I’d accidentally ordered the regular ones!) and appreciated how the tart lingonberries and crunchy cucumbers offset the richness of the mashed potatoes.
Another reason to love Möllers Köttbullar? Whether in production, manufacturing, or preparation, they are committed to sustainable, transparent, and fair business practices such as using compostable packaging, sourcing natural ingredients from biodynamic and organic farms, and paying producers and team members above...
Read moreOverpriced—typical Prenzlauerberg prices, as you might expect. The portions are supposed to feature meatballs, but they include more potatoes and sauce than anything else. While the portions look large, they aren’t actually satisfying. I ordered a kid’s portion, which only came with three meatballs. However, the regular size was not so different as well.
The menu and portion system are a bit confusing. It seemed like we could choose between toppings or fries instead of mashed potatoes, but they ended up deciding for us. Although the service was decent, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold inside. Overall, I have to say I’m really...
