I walked in on a Tuesday evening without a reservation. Was not very busy but not empty too.
Service people were quite kind and helpful.
I ordered olives, bread, house wine, insalata misticanza and lasagna.
Could improve olives’ quality and variety (only 2 types of olives present)
Olive oil (selezione frantoi cutrera) is nice fruity, not very acid, smells and looks good. Bread was a bit burned on crust but it is not a big issue for me.
Red house wine was good quality for price. Nice balance of acid and dry. Not too bold.
Insalata misticanza Quality of greens was ok. Sauce was evenly spread on each green. Tomatoes could be more ripened and sweet. Although it says “parmesan flakes” in the menu, the parmesan on the salat was grated.
Lasagna The way that it was prepared is exactly how I like it. Soft, saucy, slightly crispy top layer. But the beef ragù is.. It tastes like tomato soup with lots of water (bland). You should work on the quality of the ingredients. Especially tomatoes. If you claim to be an italian...
Read moreThe food was neither good nor bad, however, it is totally overpriced. Paying almost 20€ for a Pizza, I expect some above average food, but got served something equal to other, way less expensive options. (11 adults 2 children with starters, one basic main meal for every adult and three bottles of wine = 800+€!!) Waiters frequently forgot to bring orders and it took well over 10 minutes to serve a basic soft drink. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and kind att all times. The restaurant is extremely noisy inside and there is nothing to decrease the noise level like carpets or noise catching elements at the ceiling. The interior is not really anything italien, doesnt seem authentic to be honest. You mostly pay for the location, but sitting inside, you wouldn't notice if you were in a completely different...
Read moreThe owner’s responses to negative feedback are reflective of the poor quality of service that you will receive at Francucci’s. True restauranteurs do not respond to dissatisfied guests with such arrogance but rather attempt to improve their experience. Firstly, the amateur waiters are rude and dismissive of the requests and questions to the menu made by guests. The high prices in this restaurant are not justified by the unremarkably average quality of the food. Any patron will be disappointed by the price of beverages or small plates that are far above the average for restaurants on Kurfürstandamm. The pappardelle was gravely disappointing considering the €18.50 price and the sauce tasted as if it came out of can. No tourist should visit this restaurant as it will give a poor impression of fine...
