For the past eight years, I have had the pleasure of visiting Haveli, a delightful North Indian restaurant located in Berlin. During my numerous visits, I have consistently experienced exceptional service, delicious food, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
One of the standout features of Haveli is the incredible hospitality provided by Paramjeet aunty, who has always been an absolute gem. Her friendly nature and genuine care make every visit feel like a home away from home. She goes above and beyond to ensure that each guest feels comfortable and well taken care of, creating a welcoming ambiance that is truly unmatched.
Now, let's talk about the food. The culinary offerings at Haveli are nothing short of extraordinary. The menu boasts a wide array of mouthwatering dishes that never fail to satisfy my taste buds.
The flavors are vibrant, and each dish is expertly prepared with great attention to detail. Whether you're a fan of vegetarian delicacies or prefer non-vegetarian delights, Haveli has something to cater to every palate. My favourite remains the butter chicken, crispy naan and kandhari naan.
The ingredients are fresh, the spices are skillfully balanced, and the presentation is always top-notch. Every bite leaves you craving more, and it's evident that the chefs pour their heart and soul into each creation.
Over the years, Haveli has become my go-to restaurant - a home away from home. A big shout-out to Paramjeet aunty, for always welcoming me and my family with great desi khaana and...
Read moreBeware! the reviews as absolutely misguiding. This is the most horrible restaurant in Berlin! I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! I usually ignore and don't write bad review but I had to for this worst place they call "Haveli" This is a nightmare of a restaurant. If there was negative 5 stars ratings available I would have given that to this place. So I went with my cousin and ordered Chicken Biryani and Mili Juli Sabji and when the order arrived we were surprised to see the portions that they were serving. It was so small that even a baby would starve after eating the portion. We thought it was a joke when we saw the portions being served. Anyways we started eating and the taste was as bad as it looked (The biryani was disgusting and they even put eggplant in the Chicken biryani which is so unlike biryani and the taste on top was horrible. I don't know how is this restaurant even running) On top of this the lady in the restaurant was rude as F*. I just took out my bottle to sip some water and the lady showed up and told me that I am not allowed to drink in from my personal bottle and started telling me about the restaurant rule in a very rude way. I ignored and when the bill came she started talking again on the water bottle. It was a big joke! Food: minus five star Price: three times the actual price Service: no stars Ambience: Its ok Recommendation : Stay hungry but avoid...
Read moreThe place is certainly no way near the quality and class of other restaurants in Berlin. We had lunch at Amrit in Berlin and at Delhi 6 both were professional places with well maintained decor and service. This one however is a family run business which operates at it own slow pace .
Lets get straight to the food.
We started out with mango lasso and lichi shake. The lichi shake was okay nothing great but the lassi was horrible. It was not sweet at all the yougurt was definitely old and sour. A total bad start to the experience.
Then we had ordered a vegetable and Dal tadka. They gave us Dal makhni claiming that it is tadka. Both were average without salt. When told the owner said salt is to be added acc to your taste. We ordered garlic nan.. it was garlic bread. The quantity was also very less. The worst part was the general Indian attitude that the owner gave us.
To end it on a bad note. An extra 3.5 euro was in the printed bill. We pointed out and got it reduced. Overall we had a very bad experience and just to point it out, you will get far far better hotels even in smaller towns. Don't come to Berlin and...
