Editing: as it’s been 8 months that I went, the owners have sent a request via Google that I delete this review. I have to show proof I was here so it does not go down… I sent a screenshot of the payment on my bank statement… but really!? That’s so sneaky to wait out time to get honest negative reviews taken down. Probably that’s why when I went I only thought it had only good reviews.
My review went from 2 to 1 star for this reason… what a waste of time to be asked for proof I was here and not saying lies via email. I don’t get the buzz of this place. I’ve been here twice, none of the times the coffee has been special. Flavor is plane.
The vegan options are existent but none of them really attractive. The vegan banana bread is the driest I’ve ever had. I could not finish it. That’s so weird, it’s supposed to be the simplest recipe….
The service was okay but I didn’t really felt like the people were exited to be there working. The tables for the laptops are just a few and only on the dark area of the coffee place. So not exactly a place to have a cozy...
Read moreIt's a decent average brunch spot and not much more.
The location is the highlight, as it is not in the middle of huste and bustle but still quite lively. The atmosphere is below average, with uncomfortable chairs and dated tables, as well as poor lighting and decor.
The menu is very limited, only a few options, and the biggest negative are the prices. E.g one small slice of bread topped with avocado creme (not even slices but a house mix), and one spoon of what was called 'pico de gallo' on the menu but on the plate were chopped tomatoes in oil and a few pickeled onion rings (no other pico de gallo ingredients were there), is priced at 12 euros. Almost absurd. To add a poached egg was 2.5 in addition.
The service is nice although we waited more than half an hour for our food.
The coffee is amazing -smooth and tasty.
Overall, would not recommend but if you are in the area it's not the...
Read moreThe service is nice, they seated us even without a reservation on Sunday morning (other places turned us away even though they had room so we appreciated this a lot). Coffee is good, but unfortunately I would not return to this place for breakfast. Serving eggs Benedict on a brioche bun is not really a way to go. Half of the bun was left with nothing on it, so you essentially were supposed to eat this as a burger I assume. It was dry, the sauce that makes half of this dish, was barely there and the eggs were not really runny but more well cooked. For me this is not a place I would recommend for its food, unfortunately. If you are looking for coffee and cake, maybe sure..but I didn't...
