At Kajumi you‘re guaranteed to get one of the best coffees in Berlin!
Taste: 8,5/10 Great coffee, well prepared. I love their cappucino and cold brew. The drip coffee was great, but lacked a little in complexity, whether it was the beans or the brew i‘m not entirely sure.
Ambience : 8/10 A small shop with great ambience. Walking by you‘ll quickly notice the red chairs and tables with their yellow lemons on top! Sitting outside in Prenzlauer Berg is always relaxing. Enjoy the coffee - but also the view.
Value for money: 7/10 I had a good cup of coffee, but also great food. Whether it was the sandwich or the mini-cakes with custard, both were fairly priced!
Service: 8/10 Each time i went the cashier was nice and helpful and answered any questions i had. The only minor issue i had was having to py by cash - no card accepted.
Originality: 8/10 Kajumi‘s interior speaks for itself! The beans are interesting and varied, and their foods are unique and interesting.
Final rating: 8
My rating system: 5: average, you get what you pay for 6-7: above average, recommended to go if you‘re in the area 8: worth a trip if you‘re in the city 9-10: worth visiting the city just for...
Read moreOne of my most favorite of coffee shops - as a barista of five years the espresso yuzu is one of the best drinks I’ve come across + the banana bread and cookies are so heavenly. I literally come to the cafe at the least once a week + the staff is always so incredibly friendly. As someone without a German bank account I really wish card payment was an option, as the bill ends up costing me double the price with fees in order to withdrawal cash from an atm, but I understand the benefits to cash payment and ultimately card payment isn’t an entitlement but a privilege. Just be aware / be prepared to have cash on you + remember a lil extra and tip your baristas - they work hard to serve such quality crafted products while also being so kind Overall couldn’t recommend this...
Read moreI used to love coming to this place - Until a run in with the owner this morning. I bought some coffee beans yesterday and had them grinded (way too fine - no one’s fault it happens) they didn’t work great in my little cheaper home machine. I went back this morning to speak to the owner who then tried to lecture me on specialty coffee and rudely pointed out that some people pay a lot of money for their gadgets and that essentially his coffee was too good for my cheaper machine. His ego filled the room it was almost hard to breathe in there. I was hoping only to replace the bag but in the end I opted for a refund - I don’t want to support this type of unnecessary behaviour. Adios Kajumi....
