Hello everyone. I am one of the waitresses in Lecker Song when that female guest SaNa came. I remember very well, after she ordering our salat for 3 minutes, she tole me that she want to cancel it. After checking I have to tell her that it’s already finished. And I asked her politely, “ Can I bring it for you?” And she said, “yes, bring it.”
After finishing her dinner, I came to her and said, “taste good?” She said, “ the dumplings are ok, but the salat is awful.” And I said, “Oh, I am sorry for that. “ She said directly, “No, you don’t feel sorry, I cancel it, but you still bring it to me. You didn’t feel sorry. You don’t feel sorry. ”
First of all, I bring it to her with her permit. Secondly, it tasted good or not, it’s a personal thing. I think that it’s quite rude because she kept saying that “ You don’t feel sorry.” But I was keeping politely and always smiling to her. (and then she said that I am fake polite)
While paying, she kept complaining the salat that made me feel really awkward. Yes it tasted not good, but I am the one who should be blamed? I wanted to cry. Holding back my tears, I only said to her, “Ok, I pay for that salat, you don’t have to pay for it.” and she denied and said, “ nonono, I pay for it.” And she said, “your invoice is inefficient. There are details in the invoice from other restaurants. But there aren’t in your invoice.” After checking I said, “Our restaurant has opened for 6 years, our invoices are always efficient.”
I found it’s pretty hard to communicate with this guest. Because she didn’t listen to others. She kept believing what she believes. In the end, I said to her, “Have a good night.” But she said to me, “You know how Google works.” (that’s what she did for us.) And I said to her, “Goodbye.” And she was rolling her eyes at me.
And I also think it’s personal abuse/attack for me because she kept saying that I was fake polite and I was “waiting persistently for a tip” ( I didn’t wait for any...
Read moreA very rare 5 stars from me! The best dumplings in Berlin. Great customer service, wonderful and calming atmosphere and beautiful area.
I have a huge love for Chinese dumplings. And really good ones are hard to find, even in a city like Berlin that is choc-full of incredible restaurants. Let me tell you that Lecker Song is by a clear mile the best I've been to, and this is not an award I would just give away.
Not only are the dumplings incredibly varied and absolutely delicious, but my goodness the love put into making them is so clear. It's like the dumplings are made to resemble flowers! They tasted so fresh and the texture of each was so different which is really quite incredible given I've been to places in Berlin which have good reputations but obviously come out of the freezer and a mass-produced. Well, here there is none of that! I strongly recommend to get a range of different dumplings so you can compare and contrast them. If you pick carefully, you'll get a range that complement each other and you can really notice the care and thought put into the menu because they aren't cutting corners in their dishes (by the way, phenomenal vegetarian options here!)
Customer service is very strong too, they offer tap water at 50 cents a glass (the mocktail we got was nice and beautifully presented, but not the standout item on offer).
The location is wonderful too and it shows you why everyone wants to live in Prenzlauer Berg! It was a calming, chilled and pleasant atmosphere!
We'll be here again, and...
Read morelittle restaurant. 5-7 small tables inside seating. 3 small tables outside seating. Dim Sum is ok, other food has a funny taste and is NOT recommended. interior is simple and shabby and not clean. Maybe it's because of the current heat in Berlin, but rats/mice seem to like the place. Stuff can't understand German nor English well and is fake polite which makes you feel awkward. You need to be patient waiting for your orders (30-45min) and if you ask how long it will take they glance at you and walk on to the next table - no response. The old woman in the kitchen seems to be the boss and is speaking (Chinese?) in a very rude tone to her staff, which makes you feel more uncomfortable being there. And than she come to the tables with this super friendly fake smile asking if everything is OK. You better don't answer the question honest, because she will tell you off!!! When you ask for a proper bill/invoice, triple check the amount- they are as bad at math as the service is!!! Also they give you the change and are waiting persistently for a tip. they give you an angry look and if you ask why there is not tax number they make you leave. Don't go there if you have issues with rats/mice, rude service and long...
