Bumped into this place while walking around looking for dinner. Nestled in a modern architecture, it was really vibing with people on a weekday night! The menu is all in german with pictures (you can request for an english one) and we ordered the famous roasted pork knuckle and the spatezel. Though in the eng menu, it's called "dumplings" but no there is no fillings inside. Both dishes were served piping hot, amazing crispy pork knuckle! Though you have to eat them fast before it becomes cool and really hard to chew. Overall, a very good german dinner experience. If you're looking for smth local and authentic, I think this is worthy!!

Great place with wonderful service which is guaranteed to bring a smile on your face. This is where I was introduced to KiBa - a concoction of cherry & banana nectar (absolutely divine). We also got to sample their new beers (Rotes Zwickel & Weizenbier) which are delicious! The food portions are huge, tasty and generally comforting for the soul. I made a reservation via Quandoo and hence skipped the queue/wait. I also appreciate the social distancing between the tables especially during these times with COVID so that we could dine with a peace of mind.

Firstly, we came because YJH (SVT) came so we also came. Food tasted good. But service was debatable. Despite it not being busy at all compared to other places we’ve been in Berlin and other customers mainly only ordering drinks. It took 40+ minutes for our dishes to come out after ordering.. Additionally when ordering staff were not attentive. We raised our hands numerous times and it went unnoticed. We had to actively call them. We sat in a visible area with the tables around us being quite vocal and they were walking around.. 🤨 When ordering the staff was also not very helpful in the sense of not giving recommendations as he said “his taste is different from ours”, understandable but still maybe your favorite one or what is popular?? Then, when paying we could choose if we wanted to give a tip option. We tapped the no tip button due to our unsatisfaction with the speed and feeling not welcome. Then he continued to ask no tip? Why? I replied “we waited 40+ minutes, it is quite slow” He said “McDonalds is fast.” To which we laughed it off… I did not mean it like that and I felt he was making fun and ironically questioning our answer and mentally rolling his eyes. At other places we visited they usually do not ask why you give a tip or not give one and let you chose freely in the sense that they look away when you are paying (our experience). I don’t think it’s the average speed of restaurants in this city that are like this as other restaurants we visited - similar to this pub style had no problem and we had a blast. Would not come here again despite the quite tasty food and varied choices.

The Lindenbräu on Potsdamer Platz gave me the impression that it was run by Arabs. The four of us chose a seat at an empty table by the window and had the impression that the staff didn't like it. Unfortunately, there were still bits of food on the table. A single dried spaetzle caught my eye. I couldn't identify the other one. We asked the waiter to wipe the table again. And it came as it had to, he simply wiped back and forth, the dirt directly on our laps! As for the food, it wasn't a highlight, not really Bavarian either, but not bad. Toilets were clean so far. At some point the waiter asked us if we wanted anything else, they were closing! Honestly, I have never experienced such "lousy" service in the US! WiFi not tested Conclusion for me: tourist trap

Very grumpy staff, pretty much from the moment we stepped inside (and with a reservation). We were a bit stunned with the service before we’d even sat down, with multiple members of staff seeming very unwelcoming. The food was okay. We were after big plates of German food - sausages, schnitzel, pork knuckle etc, but not much effort appeared to have gone into the preparation and cooking of the food. No one came to offer us more drinks, and it was impossible to call anyone over. Eventually I managed to wave at someone to request more water - which arrived 10 minutes later. We would have stayed for more drinks and pudding, but by that point I didn’t want to spend my money there and be treated so poorly.

We decided to check this place out on a very cold evening as its located inside an atrium. Great looking restaurant with surrounded by glass windows and consist of 3 levels. We were ushered in to a table on the 2nd floor by the windows, ordered our beer and had the Wiener (veal) Schnitzel €24.90 that came very fast. Not a good sign and not surprising that the 2 escalopes of veal were dry even the side of potato-cucumber salad didnt help. They have extensive menu, maybe some dishes are better but definitely not the schnitzel. I think this is a great place for a group of friends to have drinks and snacks but not a dinner spot.
