Stopped by on a Monday night looking for a place near our hotel to eat. Read reviews and saw pictures of the items on the menu and decided to give it a try.
Upon being seated and given menus, we were a little confused as to what mediterrian cuisine was being offered. Upon reading the menu introduction, the menu items have mediterrian inspired ingredients...
We decided on the mediterrian salad, steak with fries and the linguini with beef. Both were not available...something said we should have just gotten up and left, but we decided to try something else..
A linguini with shrimp and the pan seared fish with roasted potatoes...
The linguini was not very tasty, although there were about 8 medium sized shrimp that filled the plate with spinach leaves. It definitely needed salt and seasoning, and we couldn't figure out the spice or flavor used in the oil...coriander or rosemary?? Not good with seafood pasta..
My pan seared fish arrived as described on a bed of roasted potatoes... The fish had no seasoning, although the skin attached to one side did give it some taste. The fillets were boneless for the most part, but it did have some small bones in the fillet, which the server or menu should mention. I know it should be a gimmie that fish fillet will have a bone or two, but I wasn't expecting that based off of the menu description. The oven roasted potatoes were flavorful, but the char wasn't consistent and some potatoes were more seasoned than others.
Although the place was crowded, the people there were more for drinks and conversation.
The staff was very friendly and attentive.
If you are looking for a place for a late beverage and to chat with friends, this might be the place...but for dinner...I'd try...
Read moreA bright and spacious spot with plenty of natural light and big windows, this two-level Mediterranean restaurant feels inviting but falls a bit flat on execution. We opted for breakfast dishes: I had shakshuka, and my husband went for a toast with eggs and avocado. My shakshuka was a spicy affair—so much pepper that it overshadowed everything else, and the tomato and paprika skins were a bit off-putting. My husband's sandwich, on the other hand, was fine, nothing to write home about, but solid. The coffee? Meh. Just average.
The service had its ups and downs—one waiter was lovely and attentive, bringing me butter without hesitation, while the other... let’s just say didn’t quite match the energy. As for pricing, meals start at 14 euros, but the lemonade at 6.90 was a little rich for my taste.
In short, it’s an okay spot if you happen to be in the area, but it’s not somewhere you’d go out of your way for. If you're in the mood for pizza or pasta, they’ve got that too, though we didn’t give them a try. All in all, it's a decent option for a casual meal, but don't expect any...
Read moreWe were craving Italian food in Berlin, and while visiting the Sony Center, we decided to check out this restaurant. We hadn’t read any reviews beforehand, just went in to see for ourselves, and honestly, it did not disappoint.
The place was clean, really nicely decorated, and had a welcoming vibe. The food totally surprised us, in the best way! The pizza was fluffy and had that authentic taste, and the spaghetti was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t stop eating it. It was way better than we expected, and easily the star of the day.
The bathroom was clean and spacious, and the service was great, fast, friendly, and on point.
What stood out, too, was the interior design. We couldn’t stop talking about how nice everything looked. We’ll definitely be coming back, especially for the spaghetti, it was just too good to not...
