This restaurant is the heart of Berlin, just attached to Berlin Mall. The ambiance and decorations are excellent. The staff are kind and professional, and food is served so fast hot on your table. The operations of this restaurant are very impressive. The restaurant is open 7 days a week and always busy. Excellent place for a date, family, or corporate dinner. Kudos to the team for an amazing service to their clients. The food has a very nice balanced menu. I would describe it predominantly Punjabi style food with a few South Indian inspired dishes but not completely authentic South Indian. I would prefer to eat norht indian food here. The menu is laid out in a very clear and organized way. The menu has suggestions. The menu has a very excellent balance of veg and nonveg dishes. The food is made with a balanced taste profile just good enough for Indians to like it but not love it and for Westerners to love it. The food portions are good. The price is competitive for the quality of food and service you are getting. This place is value for money and its one of those places you can come to blindly and never be disappointed. The drinks menu for non alcoholic are very good for hot and cold. Make sure you try the mint ginger tea. The orange juice is freshly squeezed. My overall rating is 4.5/5 for this place. This rating is at an international scale compared to restaurants in the USA, Dubai etc. Else German local rating is 5/5.

I wanted to leave a review for this restaurant. My husband and I have often been to this restaurant many times and I always liked the salmon dish”(72. Lachs Kochi Curry (leicht scharf)), the sauce of this dish was always revealed throughout the entire meal. I really loved this dish, the sauce was amazing! But unfortunately the last time we were there it was April 7th and I was very disappointed as my dish was brought with not as concentrated sauce as usual. Judging by the puddle that eventually formed in my plate, it was simply diluted with water before serving and did not even bother to boil it. I made such a conclusion from the fact that in the end the water separated from the total mass and a puddle turned out in the plate, then it became clear to me why the taste was not as complex as usual and of course it did not open as usual, everything was fresh. But that's not all, when we asked for the bill and I shared my comments with the waiter who served us, I was shocked how he began to say indignantly that this water was from a salad, but no, the salad was dry and so much water from it would it didn't fit for sure! after looking at the photo you can judge for yourself that these are not my unfounded statements. So sorry that now I have to cross this place off my list, I don’t want to go to a place where customers are rude! Oh yes, when we already left, we could understand that his tandorin was not served as usual. It was brought already with ready-made vegetables and nothing was cooked in the pan. Usually when this dish is brought there, the vegetables are cooked in front of you and are still fried, but this time everything was ready and nothing was fried.

Food not as good as the ambience!! Quality : 4/5 Quantity :3/5 Value for money : 2/5 Service :3/5 Ambience : 5/5 Detailed review We (around 5 of us) went here around 3pm after the lunch rush and ordered a bunch of food and was told that they do Indian level spicy so we were excited but our excitement was soon over when we actually tasted the food, not even half of Indian level spicy and im not talking just the hot chilli spicy but the spices were itself maybe forgotten on the counter. Below are the items we ordered 1)Paneer tikka : not good, the paneer was very rubbery 2)paneer makhani : again rubbery paneer 3) chole Amritsar : this was the only dish that we liked but it was not the Amritsari chole. 4) gobi pakora : not good! 5) dal makhani : good 👍 6) gulab jamun with ice cream: gulab Jamoon was very small and the ice cream had some sort of sauce over it which made it not se good 👎definitely not recommended We were given only one salad for all these dishes! We had to request for more Overall I wouldn’t go again!

Delicious food in famous Indian restaurant in Berlin! The story of Amrit began in 1996 with the opening of a restaurant in the Kreuzberg area by the Bans brothers. Today there are 4 restaurants in the city, but it is still a family business. A team of 200 people welcomes guests every day, and authentic chefs from India prepare traditional dishes according to family recipes from Indian spices and local ingredients. We visited Amrit on Potsdamer Platz, tried vegetarian set and everything was truly delicious: Perfect Palak paneer (cheese with spinach), amchi bengan masala (eggplant with spicy sauce - love it), paneer jhalfrezi (vegetables mix with cheese), amritsari chole (chickpeas with a special spices mix), daal (lentils by the recipe Ban's mom), + salad with pickled onions❤, rice and of course delicious naan and roti bread which I can eat every day. We recommend Amrit like a good place for a Indian lunch or dinner near Potsdamer Platz area on your way to a cultural forum or movie trip.

Visited restaurant Amrit Potsdam branch for dinner with friends yesterday, they landed from two other countries craving for good Indian food, ordered samosa , dal, eggplant curry, chicken kadai , naan , roti and few drinks, rice and salad came complimentary (thank you). Apart from the dish chicken kadai , the taste of all other food items were very good and drinks were nice too. But Chicken kadai was really very disappointing looked like boiled chicken , tomato curry paste and boiled onions were mixed together and served. That was main dish connecting other food items and people on table , on nice conversation. That quality was not expected from Amrit at that cost. Else everything was great. Service was perfect, well entertained and attended, ambiance was very good , well decorated and well managed facility. Overall good but sorry Amit because of that dish I had to give you 3. May be better next time.
