I honestly do not know how one can treat customers the way they do and still stay open for business. The bar tender (and possibly owner) was extremely rude, aggressive and insulting. The concept here is that you pay 2€ for a wine glass, sample their selection of wines freely, and pay what you thought it was worth when you leave. Half my group paid and left early, and the bar tender came over to us to tell us that our friends were cheap, and that we should make up the difference, and insulted us in various ways. Not feeling comfortable, we left (and still left a reasonable donation) but the guy came out onto the street to yell at us, and said he hoped he would never see us here again.
I’m astonished at the rude behavior, and have never been treated like this by personnel in any establishment in my life, but it wouldn’t have been as surprising had I looked at the previous reviews left here. My question is that if you have to consistently and aggressively harass customers over the years to pay what YOU think is right in this “pay as you wish” model, why not change it?! There will always be free riders in a system, and berating other oblivious customers to make up for it is clearly not a sound business model, especially since the guy seems to be extremely miserable. But it’s his choice and I don’t...
Read moreWe had a birthday party in this place, and we payed 2€ each for a glass of wine that we could refill, to then pay the price we considered was fair at the end. The whole group was made up of students, and when we left the waiter the jar with the money, he agressively called the birthday girl so she wouldn't leave until he emptied the jar.
He did, and he immediately said in quite an agressive tone that it was not enough and we "must" pay 100 more euros. ¿¿?? We said that that was it, that their whole business model is based on tipping at the end and that there wasn't a "menu" with fixed prices, so he couldn't really force us to do that. Then he threatened with calling the police, he told us we "won't leave until we paid him 100 euros more", and he was honestly quite aggresive even insulting me while I defended my friend. Then we left.
This is the worst place you can go to if you want to enjoy your night. Don't give a single euro to people who run their...
Read moreI had a really bad experience and will definitly never go back. The concept is a great idea but as many other visitors have already described the owner does not really stand behind it. As a customer I've always felt pressure to pay more and sometimes been even asked for that. At my last visit, one of my friends was just finishing his last sip of beer from a bottle he brought for the walk and we were told that they don't server people like us and that they wouldn't have space. I was obviously shocked and didn't know what to say - to this the owner just nooded towards the door to make sure that we understand that he wants us to leave. I've rarely seen something so descending and will definitly...
