I had a pretty mediocre experience here - my worst meal in Berlin - after potent recommendations from friends.
Just based on what everyone around me ordered and the reviews here, I suspect Pirosmani excels at dishes like khatchapuri and kinkhali.
Cheesy bread and dumplings seem wonderful but really do not form a full or balanced meal in my eyes.
Gebjali and the house special 'pirosmani' chicken stew were adequate and poor, respectively.
Both had interesting, herbaceous flavours but they disappointed in different ways. The 'georgian bread' served with my Gebjalia was stale. Happily the replacement was OK, though still not much better than a supermarket bread roll.
The chicken stew was abysmal. Chicken thigh, even cooked heavily, should not ever be this tough. The only credit I can give it is that the oily mixture beneath the chunks of chicken was reasonably balanced.

Read moreI had a truly wonderful experience at this Georgian restaurant in Berlin. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and beautifully decorated with traditional touches that created a delightful sense of Georgian hospitality. The food was exceptional — the khachapuri was perfectly baked with rich, melted cheese, and the khinkali were wonderfully flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. I also greatly appreciated the excellent selection of Georgian wines, which complemented the meal beautifully. I look forward to visiting again soon and will be happy to recommend this lovely...
Read morePirosmani is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Georgian cuisine in Berlin. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for enjoying traditional dishes in a relaxed setting.
The food is consistently delicious, but the star of the menu is definitely the Adjarian khachapuri — the best I’ve had outside of Georgia! Perfectly baked, filled with rich cheese and a runny egg, it’s a must-try.
Other favorites include juicy khinkali and a lovely selection of Georgian wines. Friendly staff and cozy vibes make it a place you’ll want to return to again and again.
Highly recommended for a true taste of Georgia in the...
