Pizza Peppino — Restaurant in Berlin

So. I hate the 5 star rating. 10 much better.

Pizza 2/5 Service 5/5 very fast. But I am interested in the pizza not the service etc and if people are rude.

So as a disclaimer I have been to Italy many times and eaten lots of pizza. I was excited about the good reviews. I just have got them on the wrong day. Ordered the prosciutto, Parmesan and arugula (rocket) pizza. Came out very fast. The crust and Dough were very good. The amount of sauce was GREAT. Why I gave it a 2/5

The guy used the end cuts of the prosciutto. It was cut WAY too thick. It was chewy and it tasted old and dry as hell. I had a couple good pieces of prosciutto. But most was garbage. Obviously food costs are rising. And trying to save costs by not wasting. If he put normal proper prosciutto on the pizza, this is a 4/5. But that was inexcusable. I didn’t even want to finish it (of course I did. I never waste food). You can see the dryness in the meat in the 2nd photo.

Unfortunately I would NOT recommend this place.

Oh and their prices went up. Peoples last post was about 10.50€ for this pizza. Now 13.50€. I will check the photo. But maybe just increased...

I had a really great time at Pizza Peppino. Finding a place with such a warm and benevolent atmosphere feels sooo good. Hani and Hasan are fantastic people, always smiling and lighting the mood but most importantly they are very skilled cooks. Their pizza and pasta are incredibly good:) I totally recommend this place! You can go there for a treat one evening before going to a nightclub and Hani will put the sound of the music a little louder. Or you can also come with children and they will win a lollipop at the end of the meal. You can also go alone, I promise you you will meet great people there. Anyway, this is the place to go if you are looking for...

Just steps away from Museum Island, one of Berlin's top tourist attractions, this pizza shop offers a disgustingly disappointing experience. The staff were unwilling to speak English, and the male employees behind the counter were extremely rude, showing no respect or kindness while we were ordering. As expected, the pizza was also poor in taste and quality. If you're an English-speaking visitor looking for a quick bite, avoid this place and spend your money at another restaurant that would treat you with the bare minimum...
