I visited the Prater Beer Garden on the 14th of June, 2024, for the first game of Euro 2024 between Germany 🇩🇪 and Scotland 🏴. This wasn’t my first time here; I've been to the Prater Beer Garden several times for various occasions, but this visit stood out.
The ambiance at Prater Beer Garden is always lively 🎉, but it truly comes alive during big events like this game ⚽. The place was packed with enthusiastic fans 🎊, creating an electrifying atmosphere ⚡ that added to the excitement of the match. It’s an ideal spot for sports fans looking to enjoy a game with a crowd 👥.
The beer selection is excellent 🍻, offering a variety of authentic options that are perfect for any beer lover 🍺. The food also deserves a mention – traditional and delicious 🍖🍟, it complements the beer perfectly and enhances the overall experience 😋.
What makes Prater Beer Garden exceptional is its ability to create a space where friends can come together and enjoy a great time 🤗. Whether it’s for a game 🏟️, a casual hangout 👫, or any special event 🎈, this place never disappoints. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy good food 🍴, great beer 🍺, and an unforgettable...
Read moreExceptional restaurant with great service, food, and of course, beer. As another reviewer mentioned, it looks closed from the outside during the winter, but stumble in and you’re in for a real treat. The wood paneled restaurant is very cozy. We were immediately greeted by a server who saw us shivering and asked if we needed a beer. Their selections are really tasty and the food was great. It seemed a little pricey but you get enough to feed a small army (yet somehow...I ate it all. It was that good). I had the weiner schnitzel and my friend had the duck—both were hearty and flavorful, and not overly salty like some restaurants. As the place continued to fill up (we came on a Sunday night and didn’t need a reservation) the restaurant developed a nice homey and boisterous vibe—great place to stick around for a while downing beer after beer.
So happy we came here (on our final night in Berlin no less)—would highly highly...
Read moreThis place is what they call a "beer garden", a term which makes little sense to me. It's all about the carnival-like atmosphere. A for atmosphere. Food was ho-hum. Pasta was dried out and tasteless. Potato salad was barely edible. Chicken and Berliner Bullette (hamburger patty) were a little better, but the ketchup dispenser was not cooperating. The whole place is open-air and self-service. They had the longest lines (think over an hour!) for basic drinks. Inexplicably poor organization, and they even asked for a tip!!!!! Will definitely go back when in a mood for pain and suffering. But it should be a good place to bring friends for an evening of beer and sausages. [Tip: come here not too long after lunch to make sure you get your meal by dinner time.] Get 2€ back by returning your drink mugs (luck willing you can get your last standing-in-line experience). I'll say this: little kids will enjoy running around...
