Sahara Imbiss - Sudanesische Spezialitäten — Restaurant in Berlin

Worst Sahara Imbiss I never experienced. I'm a neighbor, so I gave them a lot of chances because I really liked their flavors, but each time I was disappointed. I once paid €4 for a ridiculous portion of fries. I persisted in giving it a try and came back twice since the incident. The last one was too much. It was barely 8pm and the waiter had already put away all the salad. I ordered three Hallumi in Brot and there were only two slices of tomato left, he tried to make the 3 sandwiches with the same two slices by splitting them in two, I had to insist on at least one slice of tomato per sandwich, which is already absurd and on top of that he filled the rest of the sandwich only with Eisberg lettuce. Not to mention that the service was arrogant, the cook was on his cell the whole time. I went to the restaurant 5 times in total, I really gave it a try but you lost a customer

This is the worst sahara imbiss in Berlin. Not the usual Sahara imbiss that we are used to .The portions (I got the expensive Sahara special teller) are exceptionally small and not worth it and most importantly very little sauces. The shop person was very reluctant about giving sauces so that the food may be enjoyed. Whats the point eating there if you are unwilling to give sauce

And lastly, she even asked for trinkgeld. Usually I always give trinkgeld, but if you are unwilling to give sauce, why should I give trinkgeld?

Very unhappy. Not going to go back when this shop...

So comfy and comforting! Sudanese falafel with peanut sauce was revalation when I first visited Berlin over 15 years ago and it brings peace to my heart to see Sahara still going strong. This branch is particularly cozy because customers have graffitied the walls of the inside seating area. A small complaint about our most recent visit - we ordered a falafel makali and a halmoumi makali sandwhich but we got 2 sandwiches with haloumi and only 1 with makali. I just removed the cheese and gave it to my partner but other vegans...
