We walked in very polite to staff but sadly little German we could speak. I felt they were a little rude but maybe that’s me. Sat outside eating . A girl sat opposite us head on table threw up near me. I tried to advise staff but they were , I felt rude. Obviously language barrier (my fault for not speaking german understandably. ) I pointed to outside . One staff ignored me , the other couldn’t care a less . I said no problem . Knowing sick was outside. Put tray in tray rack but continued with tea. Had to leave but tea very hot so o left it Left tea cup on table as v hot and a customer shouted German at me pointing to tray rack. I said thank you In German and he continued to bellow at me eve thought I put cup on a tray . We will never go here again staff we felt didn’t like us , locals were awful and tried to embarrass me about my “one” cup . I I work in catering and would have been kinder and also taken a one cup . Sadly a terrible experience to our first day in Berlin . Staff, I know I don’t speak German but kindness smiles and genuine customer service costs nothing . A wrotten experience. Not pleasant at all . First food place in...
Read moreA good bakery but... dogs are not welcome. Even for a while when I want to buy bread. In the best restaurants dogs are loved and no one tells me anything. So the excuse that "our guests don't want to have dogs here" is not an excuse. In my opinion it's the rules because of the owner. I like to go there for brunch as well, with the whole family, but the brunches nowdays are not the same as they used to be 3-4 year's ago. They always forget to give you something and the portions are smaller. But it's ok from time to time I can accept it. I love your "himberren torte" 😋but for everyday shopping I will need to find another pleace. The dog is important too and leaving him outside, where I can't see him is just dangerous to him. It's a very valuable animal and bad people know that they can sell it for 2000€. Many dogs were stolen from the front of the shops in Berlin, did you know it? It's very sad that you have no...
Read moreSo I wanted so bad to give this place a good rating. I even tried to take a picture if the delicious looking baked goods. We had already been in once before and noticed how miserable and rude the staff were, but ignored it because it was close to the hotel and it was open early. Came back on day 2, went to take a picture of my food and the crusty waitress YELLED at me that no pictures were allowed. I explained I wasnt taking pics of people, just delicious looking food and she, still yelling, told me "no way!" Husband speaks German but with an accent so they knew we were tourists. Maybe thats why she slammed our coffee on the counter and proceeded to rant to other waitress, in German. Amazing how quickly nasty servers can sour the most delicious meal. MANY wonderful coffee shops in the city with wonderful food. Give your money somewhere else where it will be appreciated. This place...
