The Breakfast Story — Restaurant in Berlin

We tried this place for breakfast today; I think it’s a good addition to the neighbourhood with its spacious sitting area and tables outside.

Our food was delayed as there was a mix up in the kitchen but considering they only opened couple weeks ago it’s understandable and we were not in a rush. If you think your food is taking longer than usual give them a nudge so they can fix it. They offered us free extra drinks as extras and apologised which are appreciated.

Food was tasty today but I think it wasn’t exceptional or memorable which is key for customers to come back. Given the nice location and design of the cafe, I think it has a potential to be one of the popular cafes in the neighbourhood should the menu...

We had a quick and tasty breakfast, but in the end we waited 33 minutes for our order. When asked when we would get our food we were told, "I'll check in the kitchen. She came out of there and didn't tell us anything else.

After 30 minutes I was starting to resent it.

It's a shame we paid for the whole order in advance, otherwise we would have just left.

As for the food, it's a banal scramble with mushrooms and a croissant. I don't understand what takes half an hour to cook.

Plus, the savoury breakfast croissant is covered in sugar syrup for some reason.

Ordered a takeaway iced Americano and was really disappointed. What I got was a hot Americano (espresso + boiling water) with just 3 ice cubes tossed in. Naturally, the ice melted almost instantly, and I was left with a lukewarm drink - definitely not what you expect when ordering an iced coffee.

An iced Americano should be cold - whether made with cold water and ice or chilled espresso, there are plenty of proper ways to do it. Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of them. Paid €4.50 for a double shot and ended up...
