Elegant cocktail bar as you would expect in a 5 star hotel, nice service, great drinks and complimentary snacks. What I found very disappointing was the musical background. When the live act was not on, the background music was nonsensically loud and annoying and reminded me of Eurodance in a seedy provincial village disco (it doesn't help that in this case it was some hip electro swing - you just heard the boom & that was too loud & lacking in nuance). The live act was great but the poor performer played a horrendously out of tune piano. Low-brow village disco atmosphere and out of tune piano doesn't fit the standard of a 5 star place. I strongly recommend the people responsible to engage well-curated artists in this place in order to set overall cultural standards, and provide consistent high quality in all aspects of the experience; culinary, architectural, as well as musical and artistic. This could potentially attract tourists as well as locals who are looking for a more high quality cultural experience. Other than that we enjoyed...
Read moreWe visited The Curtain Club at the Ritz-Carlton on Potsdamer Platz on a Saturday evening without a reservation and were lucky to get seats at the bar. Not long after, the bar filled up quicklyâso itâs best to reserve in advance.
The bar is beautifully and classically designed. The mixologists are highly skilled and prepare cocktails to a very high standard. We were served small crackers, olives, and a glass of water alongside the drinks.
The atmosphere is definitely upscale, which is also reflected in the pricesâbut they are justified. There was live piano music with a singer, and when you combine that with a great drink, what more could you ask for?
The cocktail menu offers 4â5 choices for every taste, including champagne cocktails and their own gin creations. I had the El Camino with mezcalâperfectly balanced and highly recommended. A great way to start a...
Read moreI was looking for a nice place for cocktails and saw The Curtain Club (located inside the Ritz-Carton) listed in Top 20 Berlin. Unfortunately I was left wanting with the cocktails.
I had two cocktails here. I tried the Pineapple Express first and it was overly sweet and lacking depth. It was one dimensional with the pineapple flavouring overpowering the cocktail so none of the Eagle Rare was present.
The second cocktail I tried was the Walnut Old Fashioned. It was better with more classic taste and smooth.
Nice offerings for small snacks (olives and Parmesan crisps) during your time there.
Service was fantastic!. Very attentive and kind.
The atmosphere was nice and warm, good lighting, and comfortable.
Overall nice spot but if you are specifically looking for exceptional cocktails, this may not be...
