I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to visit this restaurant with a group of 12 people on a scorching summer day, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment we walked in, it was evident that this place lacked proper management and customer care.
Despite the high temperatures outside, the restaurant manager decided it would be a great idea to confine us to a small, stuffy room without a single fully functional window. The lack of ventilation made us feel like we were trapped in a sauna, which completely killed any excitement we had for the meal ahead.
Let's talk about the table they assigned us - or should I say, the disaster they tried to pass off as a table. It was wobbly, uncomfortable, and seemed like it was salvaged from the basement of a forgotten garage sale. I couldn't help but wonder if this was some sort of twisted joke they were playing on us.
To make matters worse, the management of this establishment was beyond terrible. Their ineptitude was so pronounced that it became a challenge to even enjoy the food, let alone engage in a decent conversation. It was as if they were intentionally trying to ruin our day.
The icing on the cake was the restaurant staff, who seemed like they had just been hired yesterday. Their lack of training was painfully obvious as they stumbled through taking our orders. And if, by some miracle, we managed to correct them respectfully, their attempts at rectifying the mistake were nothing short of cringe-worthy. Politeness seemed to be a foreign concept to them.
In conclusion, my visit to this restaurant was an absolute disaster. The combination of the suffocating room, the abysmal table, the woeful management, and the inexperienced staff made for an experience I would rather forget. I strongly advise anyone considering dining here to think twice before subjecting themselves to the disappointment that...

I don't know much about Tibetan food, but what I had at Tibet Haus made me feel right at home: fresh, herby starters, hearty stews, juicy steamed dumplings and a buttery and rich mutton curry. All dishes were incredibly tasty, made with care.
The restaurant itself feels cozy and private, and the staff is warm and kind, service is slow, but this feels like the type of place that you wouldn't go to when you're in a rush anyways. Dishes come out when they're ready, and are served on beautiful plates and bowls which work great for the size of the dishes.
I recommend the Special Dal Bhat (had mine with mutton) and the momos, which are served with this saucy stew that is absolutely delicious.
It was not crowded but well visited on a Saturday noon.
This place will definitely become a...
Read moreI have been eating at Tibet Haus for a few months now and I average 1-2 visits per month. That is saying something seeing as though I live in Berlin and Chicago! The food here is delicious! Sometimes the wait is a bit on the longer side of things, but it's worth it. They have a huge menu, the momos (like asiatische Teigtaschen) are a nice Vorspeise, I usually eat the dishes with the Sojakäsebällchen. Tasty, good texture and the sauce is to die for. I usually ask for extra sauce and they always accommodate. The dinner is served with a delicious soup and rice. For about €10, you have enough for 2 meals (but I usually eat everything in one sitting). For tourists and Berliners, this is a great place to have lunch or dinner and soak up the...
