SongSong Chicken — Restaurant in Berlin

I couldn’t hold myself not to run back to Gogi boss (500m away) after buying the same sweet chili chicken from song song yesterday, price are 20% off while proportions are 20% ups

Staffs in song song are nice but I feel tricky when they asked you which sources I need without notifying this takes extra money . Although it is written in a sign but believe me, it’s hard to see and the staff is a kind of urging you to choose 1) kimchi or 2) white carrot immediately after you make an order . So you don’t have time to read or to think once you step in the shop . They were packed into a small dipping boxes as if free gift to go with the order . This is confusing.

Although 1 euro is not a big money , through this post just want to let you know , there is something as your second option...

The owner is super sweet! I’d love to give more stars but just given the price and taste I simply can’t. It’s a 5/10 for us.

The reason is that the chicken is pre-fried and then heated but on oil again. I get it, it’s faster but the chicken loses its crispyness.

The sweet sour sauce was the best followed by soy sauce and chilli last. The chilli was not spicy at all but we learned that berliners can’t handle spiciness so song song went safe, we get it :D

15€ for two different sauces at a medium size was a bit much. We had 3 portions for 22€ and comparing it to guten Dag 24€ for 30 pieces we consider guten Dag a better deal and taste.

Song song only offers boneless chicken, that’s a bummer! We’d love to have it with bones just for...

This is one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood, which says a lot because Bergmannkiez is full of places to eat. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing. Most recently I tried the veggie mandu with sweet chili sauce and kimchi 🫠 the sauce is so good, you’ll want to lick it off the plate. And the mandu are so tasty and tender. The kimchi is also so tasty and crunchy, sour and spicy. Usually I order the chicken and it’s always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I can’t wait to try the fried veggies. My friend also loves the pickled radish.
