This used to be a nice neighbourhood cafe. However, over the past ca. 2 years quality has declined and prices have increased rapidly.
The quality of the coffee is super volatile and often bad. People working there obviously don’t get any training on how to prepare coffee (flat white prepared with a single shot, tons of hot milk and plenty of foam on top - wtf?!).
On the other hand prices are super high - fun fact: The flat white at this cafe is more expensive than the one at the Hotel Adlon cafe 😮 Prices for food are easily on NYC-level. Not particularly outstanding though in neither variety nor quality.
My impression is that this used to be a nice kiez-cafe and now the owners are just squeezing it for all the money they can...

So honestly I feel unsafe in that...
Read moreThere was nothing art about this coffee. We popped in with high hopes based on the reviews. Maybe we set ourselves up to fail because the coffee was just ok, and not the art we were promised. What made it worse was the terrible service from a blonde girl who clearly didn't want to be at work today. The cake looked good but lacked authenticity (like the service) and had a factory flavor to it. Wouldn't come back given there are a million better cafes in Berlin. PostScript. My friend "didn't mind the tart" so an extra star for balance...
