Sushi Cube — Restaurant in Berlin

The sushi are cheap and taste good but they save money on staff. Service is completely overwhelmed. After placing a rather large order we waited for an hour without even getting our drinks. The place was extremely busy with take away orders and customers so we did not bother the only waiter. He came to tell us that he had forgotten to give our order to the kitchen and they would start preparing it now. He did not offer a drink or bring an appetizer to make up for this error, and due to the size of the order we would have waited too long. He said up to 20 minutes but based on my experience in this place this would have taken longer. I like the sushi there a lot but they apparently prioritize their takeaway customers and the waiting times are often very long. That's also why we waited for an hour without complaining after placing the order. What we really disliked was to be forgotten for a whole hour, left without even the drinks we ordered, no water for the dog, all the while sitting there on a table (how can a Restaurant just "forget" to serve people taking up a table for so long?) and then to have to wait even more, take it or leave it. We decided to leave and go to the nearby Bergmann Str where we had delicious food in no time and were offered water...

Disastrous and embarrassing service! I just went there to have dinner at 6 pm and I had to wait for more than one hour when I and my girlfriend gave up at all to eat there.

After the first 20 minutes, we were asked to change our place and were we put really be near the cooks. While observing the food preparation, all of the plates they were making were for delivery (they were putting in plastic boxes). I anxiously saw my dish being made THREE times, but it always ended up in a delivery box.

After the 50 minutes, we complained and the waitress just grumbled something in Japanese to the cooks, but nothing else happened. I feel also pity for the single waitress who had to provide service for so many customers. In the end, there were cheeky enough to charge the beers we ordered one hour ago and it got already warm because we're waiting to drink with our food.

Please, find some management advice as soon as possible, otherwise, you will keep accumulating negative reviews. There is no free food, so here is one possible explanation for the cheap...

If you are searching for good quality sushi, this is not the place for you. The quality of the rice and taste of the fish is not very good, you can find many sushi restaurants around Berlin that are like this one, but Sushi Cube is still the best choice you can get because of its cheap prices. I would suggest this place only to those that are looking to have an affordable feast and are on a budget.

EDIT: switched my 2 star review to a 1 star review because their sushi gave me food...
