Toms Wurst — Restaurant in Berlin

I am not usually a fan of sausages, but if you go to Berlin, I believe currywurst is a must-try if you have not had it before. Rather than the chain tourist restaurants, I always prefer the small local spots, and this place did not disappoint. The sausage was wonderfully crispy, and the chips were fresh and perfectly golden. As someone who often goes to Belgium, I can say their chips were of a very high standard.

In addition, the portion was huge. As an Asian woman I could barely finish it, although I did in the end because it was simply too delicious. I must also mention the owner, who was absolutely lovely. He spoke excellent English, was constantly smiling, and was so gentle and polite, which really made the whole experience...

Very good snack. No frills but what he does he does to an excellent standard. I had the vegan "wurst" sausage and chips. Even the ketchup was the best I've had. Great attention to detail there. Seating outside is a great bonus, and the deck chairs are supremely comfortable. I cleaned my plate, and I don't usually eat this sort of thing. That should tell you all you need to know. Also very impressed by the orderliness in the kitchen...

Went there with a group of new friends from a training programme. The owner was so patient with a group of foreigners trying to understand what to order and gave us time and explanation. The food was incredible! We enjoyed the currywurst, fries, and sweet potato fries. The potato salad was also delicious and refreshing. We had a lovely conversation out on the deck chairs provided and had a lovely evening....
