Your Best Shot Café — Restaurant in Berlin

We found this place near our hotel and decided to well..give it a shot!

There are tables both inside and outside.

The owner was very friendly but I suppose a bit overwhelmed that morning as there were lots of people and a lot of orders being made. The atmosphere was good.

Once seated we ordered the food 5 minutes later and we received the food and drinks in less than 10 minutes.

My pancakes with fruits and Sirup were great, all fruit pieces were sweet, which is not what you’d expect from blueberries, strawberries and raspberries from a grocery store. I suppose they get the fruits fresh from other good sources!

The pancakes were soft and the amount of Sirup wasn’t too much. Interesting was that the layers of pancakes had fruit pieces in them so one was always in for a fruity treat.

The other thing we ordered was an avocado toast with scrambled eggs and salmon. You actually can’t get both as they’re separated things so we received the one with scrambled eggs but after a small talk we got it with salmon on top of it.

I must say, I have no idea what they used but it was definitely one of the best pieces of toast we ever ate. Crunchy bread, soft scrambled eggs and tasty salmon, along with the creamy paprika hummus.

The iced matcha was a bit on the bitter side but it wasn’t that bad. My green boost drink was amazing though. I would definitely go get it again if I was nearby.

I suppose the owners are Spanish as there were lots of spanish people/tourists coming to get arepas, this should say enough about the quality!

All in all, small but tasty menu accompanied by a very friendly and costumer...

In short, we never got our food. Was excited to support this local business and had high expectations based on reviews. We came in shortly after open on a Saturday, there was a few people sitting inside and a group of three sitting outside - by no means busy! First red flag was that we had to wait a good 10 min before they (one man) could take our order. We ordered toast with scrambled eggs. We sat down outside and enjoyed the sunny morning.... and then we waited... and waited. The group next to us were growing very impatient - understandably, they had been there a while before us. After about 30 minutes my bf went in to ask for a time estimate of when our food would be ready. We were told 5 min, then he adjusted to 10 min, and then said to expect at least 15 min. Not confident that we would even get our food at that time, we decided to cancel our order and leave. The group of three had still not gotten their food when we left. Too bad, it really looked like it...

Amazing Coconut 🥥 Cake! It tastes like baklava (wet and with lots of honey 🍯 I suppose). Big portion: perfect for 2 people. space for coats 🧥 pets are allowed friendly barista

coffee isn’t specialty (rather Italian style). I’d rate this cafe with 5 or even 6 stars, if coffee would be specialty ✌🏻) espresso could cost less (compared to specialty cafes 😏) no WiFi
