I don’t know how these guys have received so many good reviews, in my opinion, this place is not that good at all: The service was not satisfying: 1a: the waiters were not so polite, they looked confused, late in responding and confronting. 1b: the food was delivered in the wrong order, we had to remind them to bring our soups, one at a time, the soups arrived when we were already in the middle of the main dish 1c: lahmacuns were served with salad and the tomato salad’s water made the whole lahmacun plate soggy

The food was below average: 2a: The ezogelin soup had a terrible burned spice taste, I could easily tell that it had been boiling up for a long time. 2b: doner is not an authentic “yaprak doner” at all, dry and tasteless, very disappointing. 2c: the side dish made of pepper paste was not hot, it was bitter, I couldn’t enjoy it 2d: the meat they used, most likely a mixture of beef and lamb was very smelly, those who are not familiar with the smell of lamb meat will find it unbearable

Atmosphere: 3a: you can have your food inside or outside, the place is nice and comfortable. 3b: The waiters were discussing loudly about some issue that made the atmosphere tense, I had my kids with me.

I would definitely do not recommend this place and would never go back to this...

Das erste und letzte Mal. Sind hier mal hingegangen, um ein anderes Lokal neben Doy Doy Palast zu probieren - Bewertungen sind ja auch gut. Aber die Erfahrung hat uns abgeschreckt. Sind reingegangen und haben direkt einen Platz bekommen. Wir wurden in dem Moment allerdings nicht mal von der Kellnerin begrüßt und sie hat einfach nur auf den Tisch gezeigt. Kann aber alles passieren. Als wir in die Karte geguckt haben, direkt der nächste Minuspunkt. Beide Karten waren schon halb zerrissen und noch dazu klebrig. Nicht besonders appetitlich, wenn man grad dabei ist, etwas zu essen auszusuchen. Preise haben uns auch überrascht. Im Durchschnitt 3 bis 5 Euro teurer als bei Doy Doy bspw.- aber gut, wir haben die Portion noch nicht gesehen. Die Kellnerin war beim Bestellvorgang genauso abweisend, wie bei der Begrüßung. Statt einem normalen „was möchten Sie bestellen“, stellt die sich an den Tisch, bereit zu schreiben, und sagt „was?“. Für mich ist sowas ein No-Go und schreckt Gäste ganz klar ab. Uns wurden erstmal Getränke und Brot gebracht, aber den Dipp haben nicht serviert bekommen. Hätten an sich natürlich auch fragen können, aber bei der genervten Art der Kellnerin konnten wir ehrlich gesagt auch auf den Dipp verzichten. Haben uns zwei Dönerteller bestellt, die für 15€ verhältnismäßig schon teuer waren. Einmal mit Reis und einmal mit Pommes. Dann bestand der Teller zur Hälfte aus Salat, ganz wenig Reis und etwas mehr Fleisch. Und lecker war der Salat leider auch nicht. Die Tomaten waren nicht mehr frisch (haben nach nichts geschmeckt und waren super weich) und die Würze hat einfach überhaupt nicht gepasst. Das war wahrscheinlich das erste Mal, dass ich einen Beilagensalat hab liegen lassen. Für den Preis war die Portion wirklich lächerlich… und unsere Soßen für beide Dönerteller wurden in ein Schälchen gelegt, was wir überhaupt nicht wollten und wonach wir auch nicht gefragt wurden. War dann am Ende nicht mal im Ansatz genug für beide Teller. Das Dönerfleisch war extrem ölig. Muss man mögen, fand ich aber noch okay. Abgeräumt und Tee serviert hat bei uns dann zum Glück auch ein anderer Kellner, der zwar ruhig, aber trotzdem sympathisch war. Ändert zwar nichts an dem Preis und der Qualität des Essens, aber so hat uns die Servicekraft dann immerhin nicht weiterhin die Laune vermiest. Beim Bezahlvorgang kam wieder die Kellnerin. Wir meinten, wir möchten mit Karte zahlen und sie hat so ein „tzzz“ von sich gegeben, als sie uns das Buch mit der Rechnung gegeben hat und wir nochmal meinten, dass wir aber mit Karte zahlen wollen. Als sei es unsere Schuld, dass sie nicht zugehört hat. Es war einfach ein blödes Gefühl, nach der Gesamterfahrung so abgelehnt zu werden. Haben uns dann dagegen entschieden, ihr Trinkgeld zu geben. Sie hat sich dann auch wortlos umgedreht, als der Bezahlvorgang durch war und ist gegangen. Kein Tschüss, kein gar nichts. Auch beim Rausgehen wurde unser Tschüss einfach ignoriert. Und nein, es war nicht so viel los, dass sie stressbedingt so abweisend war. Ich war selbst zwei Jahre lang Servicekraft und dieses Verhalten ging gar nicht. Servicekräfte repräsentieren gewissermaßen auch das Restaurant und bei so einer macht man auf jeden Fall eher einen...

It’s definitely good.

The small mezzes they bring before the food is not that tasty but if you are hungry, you won’t say no to that :)

They also brought us a salad plate for free. It was a very big plate. Not sure if it’s a common thing here, but it had also decent taste.

The food portions are really good. We ordered a mixed grill for 2 people, and it was more than enough for 2. The taste is of course not as good as in Turkey, can’t even reach that level, but for Europe, it’s one of the best for this price.

Doner was okayish, but lahmacun (Turkish pizza) was above my expectations. My kids don’t eat lahmacun everywhere because they make mostly too spicy and there is no choice of non-spicy, but here you can choose between both of them.

You get a free Turkish tea as the last thing before you pay.

Overall, the price/quality and the size of portions deserve 5 stars. If one of them changes, it goes directly below 5...
