Medieval Town Wall — Attraction in Cologne

The city wall of Cologne was a fortification built in several stages of construction over centuries. The first was created between the late 1st and 3rd centuries for the square "Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium" of the Romans. A more spacious, semi-circular fortification line was built in the Middle Ages. The last development was the fortress ring of the Prussian period from 1815, while the medieval wall was laid down from 1881 to small remnants. Очень интересная стена. Исторический и археологический памятник. Часть средневековых фортификационных укреплений в городе Кёльн. Возле неё разбит городской сквер и находятся спортивные площадки для детей и подростков, есть скамьи для,отдыха. В зелени смотрится очень неплохо.
