Friendly and attentive staff, fast service, the food was very good. The place isn't very big but it's dressed up very well, and has tables available outside on the pavement. The food is great. There is something here for everyone. Meat? Check. Veggie? Check. Just a salad? Check. I had the bolofritten and they asked if I wanted normal or vegan cheese: nice! The fries are very good too, not greasy at all. Everything tastes fresh, and in my sauce there are fresh pieces of tomatoes. All in all, I can highly recommend the food here. You'll have your pommes but won't feel as guilty about them afterwards ;) I can recommend the bolofritten and pink persia poutine. I also like how there is no use of plastics. Cardboard serving boxes, wooden forks, recycled paper napkins, and glass bottles. Great concept, and it vibrates through the location. The prices are fair. Sure, a bag of pommes will cost you less and fill you up too, but here you get more of a meal out of it and balance out the fries with some other ingredients. Two 'fritten' and 2 drinks will run...
Read moreI love this place! It's amazing for a quick lunch or snack. Even though fries are the main ingredient, the dishes they serve are very different from your typical portion of fries. The fries are fresh and very tasty, and are presented in all sorts of dishes, ranging from traditional Canadian poutine to internationally inspired specialties.
Whether you are vegetarian, vegan or eat meat, they have really good options that you definitely will enjoy. I can recommend the classic Quebec poutine; it's delicious!
The decoration is clean and modern. The staff is very friendly (they even came running after us when we forgot something in the restaurant) and the order system is awesome. When you place an order you get a receipt with the name of a famous character - We got Dr. Watson, Calimero and Michelangelo. Then when your order is ready they will call your 'name'. Pricing isn't very cheap but definitely good value considering the quality.
This all perfectly fits together to create an ambience that's just very...
Read moreAs a stand-alone fast-food, it's alright, and if you've never had a poutine before, you probably wouldn't be disappointed. As a French Canadian who loves his poutine, I was pretty disappointed. The sauce was way too salty, and not hot or thick enough. Instead of using cheese curds, they used chopped up mozzarella, and not nearly enough of it. The fries themselves were alright, but not crispy enough and too thick, in my opinion. I live in Montréal, and never in my life have I seen a "Montréal style poutine" with white cream sauce and mushrooms. The pronunciation guide on the menu says pou-teen and not poo-tin. I won't be going there again, but despite my negative opinion on the restaurant, I still think it's good to start introducing our national food in Germany. Hopefully at some point they can improve...
