Sadie's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Cologne

The bartender was an extremely good one! You know, sometimes it's just a shame how they hire bartenders in so-called "Irish" pubs in Germany, but here we have a perfect example on how they are supposed to hire the staff. I'd say it's my best experience of going to an Irish pub in Germany. While the pub is not that big, it's cozy and the atmosphere is rather relaxed. And you can have a really nice talk to the bartender, which is generally not the case in the pubs not run by Irish. Next time I go to Cologne I'm definitely paying this place another visit or two or for how many days I'll be staying in the city :)

Wir waren vorher im Copper Pot. Es gab Live-Musik, zahlreiche Biersorten und sogar Magners Berry mit Eiswürfeln. Unsere Pub-Tour sollte hier enden und es war unfassbar. Der „Irish Pub“ darf sich gar nicht so nennen, denn Politik und Religion sind nicht willkommen? Hat der Besitzer eigentlich schonmal etwas von der Geschichte Irlands oder dem Nordirlandkonflikt gehört? Das Hop House und Guinness gibt es aus eigenen Gläsern, vielleicht fehlt die offizielle Gastro-Lizenz? Wir wollten uns an die Theke setzen, wurden aber blöd angemacht, weil da ja ein Getränk von einem Raucher stand, der eh direkt bezahlt hat. Leute im Pub abweisen und für Refugees Welcome einstehen ? Leute, spart euch den Besuch. Irische Kultur Fehlanzeige. Geht lieber in einen Touri-Pub, hier kommen wenigstens Nationalitäten aller Art zusammen, es gibt Live-Musik und Irland wird gefeiert. Das „Sadies“ ist einfach nur Show, der überteuerten Merchandise verkauft. Auf die Öffnungszeiten ist auch kein Verlass, da bei Instagram jeden Mittwoch steht, dass der Pub leider aufgrund von Krankheit geschlossen bleiben muss.
