Nonna di Mia Dortmund — Restaurant in Dortmund

We’ve been going to this restaurant since it was still named Scoozi, and we go regularly 3-4 times a month. Staff have always been nice until yesterday. Food quality is not bad. Usually I would order some food, a drink, and ask for a glass of water from the tap. Sometimes because I need to take my medication, sometimes because I don’t like Selters water they sell there and I would tip the staff for this kindness, because in Germany, service is hard to get. Yesterday an unfriendly black-haired staff informed me that she won’t give me a glass of water, because it is not allowed by her boss. I was stunned, because in Germany, legally, gastronomy are not allowed to refuse serving tap water. They can ask the customers to pay for the water, but not refuse serving tap water to the customers. I understand it is often called service dessert in Germany but this is outrageous. The friendlier waiter that came afterwards explained that their boss has told them not to serve tap water because she thought they are not making enough profit. I mean, it is water! It’s morally wrong to try to get as much money as you can from your customers by refusing to serve water! And it has nothing to do with tap water! I ordered a drink and food and asked for some tap water. If you want more profit, try to improve your menu and be friendlier to your customers! Nevertheless, I will move our group’s eating out events to somewhere else with better service. After years of going to Nonna di Mia, unfortunately. Plus if anyone wants to have better Italian food and service in Dortmund go to Il Tappo at Plauener Str. they are authentic Venetian food and their Margherita Pizza is 7 Eur whereas at Nonna di Mia it’s 10,95 Eur and not that good, plus you get some bad service on...

I'll start with saying that is was busy due to the football match. However, there was only 1 staff attending the many tables outside (other staff was helping serving the food, but only 1 lady taking new orders). It took a loooong time (at least 25 minutes) to be able to place our order - and I am sure I made eye contact multiple times. More staff should've been placed to handle the crowd. The table wasn't cleaned until we ordered (were able to...) our drink and food.

Once the food was ordered, it was served without waiting too long. The food, a spaghetti pasta and a salad was good, prices were affordable as well. Drinks...

Wir waren mit 3 Personen heute Abend am 19.12.2022 gegen 20.30 Uhr in Ihrem Restaurant essen. Wir sind langjährige Stammkunden und waren bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Leider wurden wir heute Abend restlos enttäuscht. Es fing leider damit an, dass die Pizzen ungenießbar waren, da der Teig sehr trocken war. Wir haben der Kellnerin mit kurzen schwarzen Haaren (Bob) darauf hingewiesen und um etwas Öl gebeten, damit die Pizzen etwas nicht so trocken sind. Leider hat dies auch nichts genutzt. Dies kann sicherlich mal passieren, aber die Art und Weise, wie die genannte Kellnerin auf unsere Beschwerde reagiert hat ist eine bodenlose Frecheit. Auf unsere Beschwerde hin, hat die Kellnerin es nicht einmal für nötig gehalten sich für das heute leider nicht so gute Essen zu entschuldigen. Wir haben von jeder Pizza auch über die Hälfte stehen gelassen. Stattdessen war die Kellnerin sehr patzig und anstatt sich zu entschuldigen, wurde uns direkt die Schuld gegeben und uns versucht zu belehren, dass wir eine solche Beschwerde sofort angeben müssten. Außerdem hat sie uns darauf hingewiesen, dass Sie uns den Betrag nicht erstatten kann. Wir haben aber auch nicht darum gebeten, sondern wollten lediglich ein Feedback abgeben und uns nicht vor der Rechnung drücken!! Wir haben es als sehr frech erachtet, uns so etwas indirekt zu unterstellen! Hier sollte die Geschäftsleitung oder der Restaurantmanager die Dame dringend im Umgang mit Kunden schulen! Wenn wir könnten, würden wir sogar 0 Sterne geben. Wenn man so mit Feedback von langjährigen Kunden umgeht, braucht man sich nicht wundern, dass in Zukunft mehrere Kunden Ihr Restaurant meiden werden. Dies war definitiv das letzte mal für uns!
