it is uncomfortable that the restaurant does not have a printed menu. 2.I had to take a bottle of wine because there is a very small variety to drink as a glass. 3.we had to wait long to make the order for food. the boiled potatoes were hard/raw but inside weird mashed content - for all 3 people that had them on the plates. We had to change it to fried ones. The waiter brought one plate of fried potatoes for 3 people seating far from each other and we had to somehow distribute it. Appears they had complaints about potatoes a day before, however did not chanched with others of proper quality. The salmon and tuna were cooked well, however other fish was disgusting and no one from 5 people could eat it. The wine was Ok. The waiter could not explain the disches (since no details in menue) and was talking to me familiarly and impudence (I assume because of my age and gender, with my older men-collegues he was talking in much polite manner) Personal was smoking infront of the restaurant, few metres from tables. All the stinky smoke was coming to our tables and dishes. Personal could hardly speak English. The blond girl-waitress could not even really speak German (-__-) but at least the girl was really polite...

I was looking forward to trying Portuguese food in Düsseldorf and went to visit this restaurant. It was not like home, but I confess that the flavors are very similar to traditional Portuguese cuisine.

I tried the Feijoada which is quite rich, very complete with chorizo, pork and rice. I also tried the Bije à Portuguesa with French fries and fried egg, its sauce was exquisite. Frango with fries was golden brown, with a very good flavor and without a doubt a highly recommended dish. The only thing they don't have is a good variety of desserts, is the only thing I didn't try. The dishes are quite generous and without a doubt I will return to try new Portuguese dishes. Went with to high expectations. Supposedly the best Portuguese restaurant in Düsseldorf. It might have been a bad day, or quality droped in the last 3 years. The gambas were not fresh and both different versions of Bacalhau were tasteless and dry with little or no souce. The fried potatoes are convenience food. And the service was rude and judgmental.
