La Copita — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

I went to La Copita because the reviews sounded good, however, I cannot share others' positive experiences. I was dining by myself and was seated inside. The atmosphere was basic and nothing special. Almost uncomfortable when sitting there with just three other people. The service was pretty crappy, not unfriendly but unmotivated , almost as if I annoyed everyone because I seemed to be the last person ordering food at 21:15. I ordered three grilled seafood dishes, all of which tasted alright, but nowhere near as tasty as I know them from other restaurants. All dishes were rather small, which was fine, but not small in price, which was not ok. Should be 1-2€ less per dish. The bread was definitely from some cheap bakeshop and no real bakery, tasted of nothing, but four tiny slices cost €4, with a garlic dip from some container. Definitely not homemade. That is just appalling and has nothing to do with a proper Spanish kitchen. And be aware also that they accept only cash payments! Finally, I cannot recall when I visited a restaurant that did not offer WiFi. That's just ridiculous. The ultimate question of whether I would return or recommend? Definitely not! p.s. We were really surprised about our experience here. We'd made a reservation but still had to stand for 15 minutes in the rain, so we were not feeling great about that. But once we were seated, we were very happy with the service from the staff. They were super attentive, fast, and efficient.

The food itself was quite good. My complaint here would be not quite enough vegetarian options for my liking, but that is also a thing with Spanish cuisine in general.

They were sold out of tortilla, which was very disappointing!

The atmosphere was very lively and extremely loud. You are seated very close to other guests. We went on a Saturday night, though. Perhaps it's not always that loud.

Very expensive, completely squeezed tables and very rude service. They followed me outside the restaurant to tell me in a very angry manner that I should hang up the phone to my family because they served the first dish. They even complained to my friends at the table...! Then I had a full glass of beer spilled all over me by an old lady and they didn't bother at all. They just cleaned the floor and ignore it as it never happened... I showed them the completely wet passport when they came for the bill and they said it's OK and I shouldnt bother...!!! They didn't even have the courtesy to say they will not charge the beer... All in all there are definitely much better options in Düsseldorf to spend your money and...
