Scammy. My experience was much like the other reviews. We were handed cards on the way in without any explanation. Only realised how the system worked after we had ordered drinks - rather than paying for drinks then and there, the bartender crosses out a line on the card, and you pay the total fee when you leave. OK, kind of strange, and I probably would have avoided the place if I'd known that before ordering because it seems like a recipe for disaster. The drinks and the music were decent, but when we tried to leave the whole experience became a total nightmare. I handed over my card and the doorman took it; we then couldn't find my friend's card and went back inside to look. They didn't hand my card back to me. We found my friend's card - in fact it had been in her bag the whole time - and tried to leave again, but of course now I didn't have MY card - because they had taken it! But no amount of explaining would convince them of that. We were charged 50 Euro, having had two glasses of wine and a shot between us. The whole card system seems like a scammy way to take advantage of newcomers and drunk people. It's super easy to misplace or lose your card, and they straight up stole mine, then they bully and pressure you to cough up money....

*AVOID IT AT ALL COST. I join some friends there in 2016. We all foreigners spending two days in the city for a company event. I arrived just before they closed, the bouncers were arguing with someone at the entrance. I think they didn't even notice that I was coming in. There was only one person offering coloured flyers on the way before reaching the door of the place, flyers different from the ones they asked me later on. When I opened the door I went straight to the bar to buy a drink and they asked me for a card that they hadn't given me. Even worse... they wouldn't let me leave the premises without paying 50 euros. A full-blown scam, they know that foreigners don't know the system, if you go alone you will become a victim. Since they are in the scam , is impossible to reason with the bouncers, aggressive. I was only a few hours to get my fligh, next morning. I just pay and go ... a bunch of dishonest people!!! Police should close the place. This kind of places ruined the reputation of Dusseldorf city and...

Unacceptable Behavior from Staff – €50 Charge for Leaving Without Drinking!

I recently visited Rosenrot in Düsseldorf for a friend’s birthday party and was extremely disappointed with how the night ended. After enjoying the time with my friends, I decided to leave without ordering or drinking anything. However, to my shock, the staff informed me that I had to pay €50 just to leave the club. They made it clear that I wouldn’t be allowed to exit otherwise.

This experience was extremely upsetting and felt like unjust treatment. I’ve been to many clubs and bars, and this has never happened to me before. Charging someone just for leaving without consuming anything is not only unreasonable but feels like a scam. It ruined what was supposed to be a fun night out.

I would strongly advise against visiting this club unless you're prepared for unexpected and unfair charges. I hope the management reconsiders their policies and treats customers with more respect...
