Ohme Jupp — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

Very good service, delicious food, affordable price. We went there on a Monday night and there was a decent crowd. There were only 2 people manning the place but they were both very attentive and polite, and was regularly updating us on the status of our order. Food was delicious, in huge serving and with fresh ingredients. We got meatballs, schnitzel, blood sausage, 3 small glasses of altbier and 1 bottle of water -- paid only 39eur. The waiter was extremely rude (grey hair) He moved the table while we were eating and put it next to another one and said after that “you have to leave this table is reserved “for 6pm , it was 17:40

FYI The other waiter told us upfront, when we arrived, that we can be there until 19:00 cause after that the table is reserved.

Never got treated like this , he didn’t even deserved any tip but he charged it in cash anyways...

We visited as tourists. My wife (who is from Dusseldorf) and I were shocked to find they only took cash. We had to borrow money from our friends! What is it with German restaurants and their paranoia about modern technology. It's 2019. Food was nice, beer selection not as good as where we live in California. Yep, the Americans make better beer than the Germans...
