Unfortunately, I cannot echo the positive ratings which brought us here in the first place. The two of us ordered food around 18:30 and it took a whole hour for it to arrive. I understand that sometimes this happens when the kitchen runs out of ingredients or similar, but in this case you can at least keep your customers posted, which didn't happen. But curiously, when we decided at 19:30 to just pay for our drinks and leave because we had another apppointment, the food was suddenly ready. We then had to eat in a haste. They also ran out of regular noodles so we got the rice ones instead - again, this would have been okay if we were informed ahead. The noodles themselves were okay, but nothing fantastic. Moreover, we both found them very oily and I actually had a diarrhoea afterwards. The chef/owner apologised profusely to us and we got complimentary plum wine, for which I add a star. I'm baffled at the discrepancy between our experience and all the great reviews - maybe it was just a bad day, but I don't feel like coming back to test whether that...
Read moreI live 2km from this restaurant, but due to it's slightly non-central location I had overlooked it until I spotted the great reviews. My wife and I had lunch there, and it easily met our high expectations. Most or all of the food is hand made, in particular the noodles. Both our lunches tasted great. The house-made sauce in my bowl had an awesome, classy taste that I hadn't experienced before. (A funny aside was that we overheard people on neighboring tables also praising their dishes, which differed from ours.) Many dishes come in nice wooden bowls.
Being mostly vegan, I was happy to find a sufficient (though not huge) number of vegan options.
The people who run the place are very approachable and friendly. And the prices are definitely okay.
The location is small, maybe five tables inside, and a few outside (closed during our visit due to bad November weather). Everything was very clean. While nice and comfy, it's is not a romantic-candlelight sort of place, but has a modern, tiled look.
My wife and me are looking forward to many visits to...
Read moreIf you're considering dining at a Chinese restaurant, I would advise against choosing this particular establishment. During my visit, when attempting to pay with a credit card, the owner insisted on cash, which was inconvenient as I did not have any at the time. Additionally, the owner proposed accepting payment in RMB through WeChat or Alipay, which raised concerns about the LEGALITY of such transactions. Furthermore, a friend of mine asked if she could have some water added to her drink after finishing it. Surprisingly, the owner added an extra 2 euros to the bill for this service, which seemed unreasonable considering it was just tap water. In our experience, this was the most unpleasant Chinese restaurant we have ever encountered. The pricing of over 30 euros per person for this restaurant seems disproportionate to the quality of both the décor...
