Samui Asia Lounge Thailändisches Restaurant - Erlangen — Restaurant in Erlangen

I am a frequent customer at Samui Erlangen. I usually prefer take aways and today was no different. At the counter was an old man who could be the manager or owner(I don't know) but definitely not the cooks because he was in a blue suit. I had asked my noodles to be spicy to which he replied you can take the cut chillies in a container separately as the noodles were already cooked before I gave my order to which I obliged. However the container seemed a bit faulty and I asked him is it okay, to which he replied "This is Germany ,not India!" In a very belittling tone in front of other customers. I was humiliated to say the least as I don't know how asking for a functional container could possibly lead to my Nationality! I am not sure what his comment meant but to me it was a clear example of biasedness to say the least! Well to the person who said this, we Indians are known for hospitality and we do not differentiate between foreigners and locals. I have never faced such offensive behaviour in my 2 year tenure in Erlangen. Treat your customers with respect. Otherwise you will lose them just like...

I went there for the lunch. As soon as you entry you breath the air that's quite heavy, full of food's smell (not good) in an atmosphere not really clean, kinda sticky. Due to this reason I had lunch in the external area: small, too many tables for that space, not really clean and sporadically stinky (it was not clear if sometimes was blowing air out of the toilets or from the kitchen). Glasses old fashioned and kinda scratched, food worse than the average in Erlangen offered by the Thai restaurants in the nearby (rice was not cooked properly, sauce was too fluid, vegetables undercooked), price higher than the average around, especially considering the value of the dish. No reservation was needed on this Sunday since there's plenty of tables in the back. I was excited to try this due to recommendation by a vegan friend and was surprised to find an entire vegan menu card. All the classic dishes are on there but without animal products, but I wanted to try one of the tempeh dishes. Nice nutty flavor and a great source of protein with vegetables and hearty sauce. Staff was very friendly and meal very spicy upon request! Prices are pretty much average for restaurants. Will definitely go there again to try the rest...
