Delhi Palace — Restaurant in Esslingen am Neckar

One of the worst indian restaurants that i visited in last 6 months. Food:- The food had no flavour. We ordered Vegetable Jafrezy and Chicken tikka masala. Both dishes had same gravy and taste was really bad. It took 15 minutes to get one tandoori roti. Ultimately my friend asked for Chai. It was sweetend milk with some colour. I would rate 0/5 for the food. PUNJABI SUBJI IS SERVED WITH ZUCCHINI AND BROCCOLI AS VEGETABLES, for no reason. Ambience:- The restaurant is blessed with really beautiful location and building. Though after entering the place there was disgusting smell because of zero ventilation and unclean carpets. The windows were completely closed and after few table getting busy, it became suffocating just to sit there. Overall Experience:- The restaurant has main target to cater to non-Indian people. Throughout the dining experience i couldn't find one point for which I would recommend this restaurant to any Indian. Been with group of friends/colleagues for dinner, food was just "alright/ok" nothing like "wow". I would personally say indian food which is germanized but not true authentic indian dish. Couple of them ordered Mango Lassi and they felt it was water with yellow colour added to it. The color of all dishes be it Chicken/Lamb/even paneer was the same and tasted a little sweet. We had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered dal soup, but what we received was actually dal makhni. Then we ordered veg jalfrezi, but it wasn’t the real dish—what we got had cucumber and carrot, which isn’t good and didn’t taste good. We asked for paneer tikka, but they didn’t have it.
