A classic Frankfurt joint, this place looks and feels as traditional as you’d expect. A little cluttered, a little run down, and a homely atmosphere. Menu is offering a lot of Frankfurt specialities so you also won’t be disappointed with that. Where it falls short, however, is the service. Friendly at first, the waiters and kitchen were quickly overwhelmed by a large group of 12-16 people. Food was brought out very sporadically to individuals, with the last ones waiting for almost two hours. Orders were mixed up, and the frustration and stress of some waiters turned into rudeness towards the customers. Very unprofessional. Nonetheless, the food is tasty and the drinks are decent. Just don’t expect too much of a service.

This unassuming restaurant is tucked in a small courtyard, but don't let that fool you, there's plenty of excellent traditional German food and Frankfurt specialties to satisfy you. The Biergarten was cozy, with long benches that you share with other patrons. Service was leaning on the lower end of average, but it was packed when we were there, so it could be somewhat excused. The food, however, was delicious and well-priced, with generous portions. We ate with glasses of chilled Apfelwein and Apfelmost. All in all, a great little restaurant, with delicious traditional food, and a cozy ambience.

This restaurant is very popular in many people. So when I visited at this restaurant, although the day was holiday, very crowded by people. visitors, citizens and so on. In fact, the location and parking is not good. So if you don't have a car, it is not easy access to this restaurant and also in case of you have a car it is very difficult to find parking lot. However taste of food is very excellent. My wife, friends and I ordered three kinds of food, schzizel, schweinshaxe, sausage. All of those were very delicious and signature afpelwein which the clerk recommended also was very good to drink.

Dear Google bad review explorers, please fasten your seatbelt and check the mic. Cause I've got one for you. Pork knuckle was by far the worst one i ever tasted. Not juicy, the outer fat is dry and hard as a bone. Green sauce not enough seasoning and the meat spread that came with the green sauce utter disaster of a meat collection. The meats must have been weeks old. Even the potatoes have no flavour just boiled potatoes. How hard is it to season a potato. They depended too much on the green sauce to make the dish better but alas the sauce was sorry excuse of a bad yogurt. The inly good this was the Handkäs mit music, because it's the only one dish that was store bought. At least the price was cheap as the quality so at least we didn't break the bank to survive this. And cherry on top the service. If you are a tourist come visiting I hope you come prepared with your stone face because you will be told off by "german directness" in full galore even if you can speak german with them. The service scolded us for not reserving seat and just stopping by when 80% of the place was empty.

To the manager (if you happen to read this): thank you for the warm hospitality—it truly felt like you couldn’t wait to...

It was my friend's birthday and we came for dinner. The food was good, but the waitress was absolutely inappropriate. She refused to introduce her name. When I asked to change the table to sit in another room, where there were still 3 free tables, she refused, explaining it in a very rude and arrogant way. She said that the tables are reserved, but even if they were not she wouldn't let us sit there because the tables were for six and we are only 4, what of other people come. During the whole our stay the restaurant remained half empty and the tables she didn't let us take were always free. When we were leaving there was only one couple sitting at the table for 6. When I wanted to write a complain she told me to leave, because shes was tired of me. And told (in German) to throw away my complain. The evening was ruined and now instead of enjoying, I'm writing this complaint ( This is absolutely unacceptable behavior with a client. Hope this case will not stay out of manager attention. Don't let the stuff ruin the reputation of...

I’m sorry to the staff that I was hungry and need food! Very moody staff! The menu was dropped on my table and the waitress walked off before it hit the table. Ordered a large beer, starter and main. Half way though my starter three Mice joined me for company. One running on tables. Must have felt sorry for me as I was on my own. When I informed the staff they became very defensive, like it was my fault. If they showed any kind of kindness I might have stayed. So I told them to cancel my main course. I paid for my starters (which I DID NOT FINISH) and beer which I planned to finish outside without my new little friends. I got shouted at by the waiter/barman ‘HEY HEY GLASS’ I was still inside their beer garden. Needless to say I won’t...
