Apfelwein Struwwelpeter — Restaurant in Frankfurt

We specifically said we are drinking only and was offered a table by the nice waitress. And also, the Handkäse was für only 1 Person, not 4 (we are only 3 person in total). Nevertheless, the WAITER SHOULD BE MORE FRIENDLY. (And these are our honest opinions)

RUDE RUDE RUDE!

Our friend visited us and we wanted to introduce German culture to him, so we brought him to this restaurant. Yet we are treated so badly by the male waiter!

We were told by the waitress that there is a seat for three of us in the garden, and while we're almost seated, the waiter came and asked us to not sit there because it is reserved (he even "teach" the waitress on the spot for giving us a table).

Ordered a 4er Bembel with the waitress and started drinking. When we wanted to reorder a 4er Bembel and a Handkäse, we were told off by the waiter that we are not allowed to order anything anymore because we are not ordering main dishes.

And suddenly he came with the Handkäse and receipt, urging us to pay and leave while explaining and complaining about us for not ordering main dishes.

We also heard next table being scold for not ordering their food at the time of their table reservation. And he will not walk too many rounds to just take separate drinks and food orders.

What an insulting experience we have had. Never coming back and would not recommend anybody to come here.

I found this restaurant to be extremely rude, unwelcoming and extrmeme lack of any customer service skills. We waited for 10 minutes to get a drink order in and never received the drinks. Another person in our party ordered wine, and another ordered soda.... the wine was brought almost immediately, while the person who ordered soda waited more than half an hour for their beverage. As far ordering food, the waiter took two of our parties order (men) and the female that was asking about what something was, was answered in a rude manner and he walked away from her without asking if that’s what she wanted. Never coming back to see is she actually wanted something! When I asked to see a manager my request was answered with why and then I was told this restaurant is about efficiency and not about customer service! Take for it what you will... as for me, it’s not a place I would support. When I go out, I expect great customer service and a little manners when spending my money! Also, after ordering, we weee informed that there is a minimum to spend when using a credit card... so if you’re dining alone.... you MUST have cash!!! Would have been nice to know that BEFORE putting us through their antics! If I could rate this less than a star, believe me I...

WORST SERVICE I’VE EVER SEEN! I’ve actually never wrote a review but this was crazy! Well..just to describe it, if you would like to be yelled at and literally pushed as soon as you enter a restaurant then that’s a strong recommend! The restaurant had a couple of empty places and as me an a friend entered we wanted to ask a waitress if there is any place for two, we said hello twice but she just heard and didn’t answer so yeah maybe she was busy so we just waited till she finished as soon as she does she walks away and say “please move” although she didn’t hold anything in the hand, because apparently as a guest in this restaurant you should move for the waitress not the opposite, we waited for a couple of minutes on the entrance (the entrance is really small), then the waitress comes back holding a beer and LITERALLY PUSHES US saying “get away from my way” in the most unfriendly way I’ve seen in any restaurant ever!
