My parents and I had a wonderful dinner here. As vegetarians we really appreciated the opportunity to try vegetarian schnitzel, as well as classics like spaetzle. Our waitress, Salem, was super helpful and spoke great English - she helped recommend items to us and answered all our questions. Every dish we received was delicious! We ate every last bit on our plates.

We had: vegan schnitzel vegetarian spaetzle vegetarian potato soup side salads (nice light dressing!) and sauerkraut

The environment here feels very local and traditional - just what we wanted as visitors to Frankfurt. Although we did see other visitors, we felt like we were in a local place.

We would gladly eat here again and would highly recommend it to others!

A cosy location. They don't take reservations for tables outside, which I appreciate - you can always come by spontaneously and get a place. Price-performance racio is good. Be careful to ask for a 'Süssgespritzten', an applewine with sweet soda, since it might be taken as an insult, as is pathetic tradition in some applewine restaurants. Ask them to mix it with the house-brand of Apfelsaft (apple-juice) and they probably will be fine with it. Even better, ask them for mix of sour soda and apple-juice (50/50), my favourite. Alltogether, the information-service is a bit meager. We were sold a dish as being vegetarian on several occasions, asking the same person on three different occasions, being told the last time, that it actually is based...

Good traditional German Food. We came for the Vegetarian Schnitzel with Green Sauce (Grüner Soße) & also tried Frankfurter Handkäse. Vegetarian Schnitzel was so yummy 😋— crispy but not greasy. Green Sauce paired well with it. (FYI: Best Green Sauce, of 3 which we tried, was at Da Heim in Kleinmarkthalle. Their Schnitzel was also excellent, but they don’t have Vegetarian Schnitzel.) As for Handkäse, they aren’t for me, but I was glad I tried them since they are a Frankfurt specialty. Servers were friendly & food came quickly for us.

This is a casual restaurant. Expect to share your table with strangers. We had a great conversation with our tablemate. He had just come...

Reserved as a group of 7 and we sat quite comfortably. This is a really busy place, so I recommend having a reservation for it. The service was very friendly and quick, and the food was seasoned really well. I had the Preiselbeer and goat cheese schnitzel (do note a small portion is 1 and large is 2 pieces of schnitzel) and it was very balanced in flavours. We then ended with the chocolate fondant/lava cake and it wasn't too sweet and just the right amount of ice cream to cake ratio. You can also pay by card which is great! Definitely recommend if you want to bring a guest from outside of the city here.
