This is a family owned coffee business with over a hundred years of history in Frankfurt. They have several branches around the city these days including this cafe along Schweizer Straße on the south side of the River Main. This is a nice little cafe with a fair amount of seating. You can do take-away as well. We stopped by this branch for morning coffee and were very happy with the Espresso Macchiato and Black Coffee served on the day. Strong, bold with a smooth finish, Wacker's is really good coffee. Menu included savoury dishes, there was a nice selection of cakes and other dessert options at the counter for those making afternoon coffee & cake orders.

Mediocre Place with reasonable prices - Not recommended We had coffee, cake and käsebrötchen. Coffee is, well just coffee. Nothing special about others as well. Waitress (the one who was serving outside) seems having a bad day. She was kinda rude and we felt unwelcome. This combination made our experience terrible although the outside atmosphere was quite nice. I asked for apfelstrudel but she took it as apfelkuchen. Overall feeling we were having made it really boring and didn’t want to correct her. If I ever visit Frankfurt again, I’ll make sure to avoid this place.

Excellent !!!!!!---If you like coffee , if you like pastries and cakes, if you want a relaxing StreetSide ambiance on a beautiful day---Go to Kaffee Wacker. The selection of cakes and pastries are all top shelf ( see my pics). This place has been in business for over 100 years in the Frankfurt area. I have been to 2 locations locations , downtown and Schweitzer Street and I much prefer the relaxing and larger Schweitzer St. location. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Great streetside seating and ambiance Final take---GO!! EAT!!,DRINK and be MERRY!

The menu is simply deprived. Ended up ordering Swiss breakfast which was essentially 4 different types of cheese non of which is a Swiss cheese. The service is insanely slow and the waitresses are very poorly trained and boarder line impolite. When it was time to leave, I paid by a card, my plan was to leave the tip in cash on the table. Mind you, I am not obliged to tip especially given the bad service. Nevertheless, the waitress seems to have understood that I didn’t want to tip her, so when I asked her to wrap the food she said she doesn’t know how to do this, which puzzled me because many people had their food packed in front of me. So, I told her I am sure she will find a way. She brings the food back in a ripped bag and throws it on the table. When I told her her behavior is impolite, her answer was, she doesn’t have to be polite. So, I asked to talk to the owner of the place but the other waitresses refused to call him/her to protect their colleague. It’s simply strange that someone who lacks such basic understanding of respectful behavior is hired at all and in the...

My parents were visiting me in Frankfurt. During the day, they are on their own, and they don't speak German nor English, so most of the time, they are kindly talking with their hands. ☺️ A young lady kindly showed a table where they could take a sit, which they did. Few minutes later, an older waiter came to them, while my mom was simply waiting for the menu. Someone is sitting at a table without a menu, even without long speeches, one could imagine what they would be looking for. Instead of that, they were very badly welcomed, and in the end the waiter just show them the exit in a very unfriendly manner. Another younger waiter witnessed the situation, and tried to "save it" but actually it was too late. It's the very first time my parents had such an experience in Germany, and I will never ever go to this...
