I enjoy museums of all kinds so much! This museum included. Museum Applied Art is a must-see museum in Frankfurt as it contains interesting arts to see with a wide range of different exhibitions. Did I mention how lovely the lady at the entrance was! She introduced us to the museum day pass? I believe, which allows us to visit multiple museums in 2 days and save money alongside. She’s so sweet and helpful. However, some points I wanted to highlight: It’d have been more interesting and informative if they’ve added an english translated description on the side of some arts, It’ll be easier to understand what I’m looking at. I fell in love with the building itself, the architecture was so minimalistic yet interesting. The day light was obvious all around within the museum, it was arranged accordingly and strategically.

The exhibition visit was comfortable and enjoyable. I was able to see many medieval manuscripts, as well as exhibitions that highlighted the differences in artistic and philosophical perspectives between the East and the West. The typography exhibition felt like a permanent display, but since there were no explanations, it was difficult to understand. Photography was prohibited, which made searching for related materials a bit inconvenient. As for the Dieter Rams exhibition, I felt that both the explanations and the presentation were quite German—just as I expected. :)

We had a wonderful time here, we saw all three exhibition on display: Muslim fashion, about beauty and Asian porcelain. All were interesting, time well spent! Not only the themes were fascinating, they were also approached from various perspectives (Muslim fashion, especially), partly interactive (beauty) and beautifully displayed (all, but the porcelain room was breathtaking) I don't know how long there are on, but I'm pretty sure anything that follows would be equally well done...

This is one of my favorite museums in Frankfurt. Great architecture by Richard Meier (born 1934) and a wonderful exhibit on Dieter Rams (born 1932), designer of Vitsoe and Braun products for many years. The collection of objects from the permanent collection is also great, including a rare original Frankfurt kitchen designed by Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky (1897-2000). The period rooms in the Metzler building are also fabulous. I also enjoyed the exhibitions on women in icon paintings and on Hamid Zenati (1944-2022) which paired his art with objects from the collection of the museum. I also love the Richard Meier reading room with furniture by Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand, among others. And the current exhibition on the 100th anniversary of the New Frankfurt is timely and informative and has a lot of detailed information plus a nice catalog. The exhibition on Contemporary Muslim Fashions a few years ago was a real...
