HUNAN Restaurant 岳阳楼湘菜馆 — Restaurant in Frankfurt

First of all, I admit that I may be wrong, because we did not expect the three dishes to take so long to cook, from the time we ordered at 20: 18 to the time the last dish came out at about 21: 55. The interval between the three dishes is so long that people who do not know think I am eating a hundred han banquet. Second, would you please tell me why you served the same dish, "Fish Head with Chili Peppers," first to the person who ordered after us? Some time after we finished ordering, the guests from the next table arrived, but their "chopped pepper fish head" was served, and we were still waiting, please tell me why? Food 5 Stars, service 1 stars. This is a great Hunan cuisine restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt. Typical Chinese restaurant atmosphere. We tried 辣子鸡丁 (Lazijiding) and it was awesome!! Surprisingly, without bones! Which is rather not authentic but for me as a non Chinese I enjoyed it a lot since I didn't have to worry to get hurt by the tiny bones. Be careful if you are not used to eat spicy food. Hunan cuisine is supposed to be really spicy!

Since we couldn't eat up everything we took it 打包 (in a doggy bag) and asked for little more rice. And there it happened!!!! The elderly lady which was the only waiter at evening just took the left over rice from a table next of us and packed it together with ours and charged an additional euro for the extra rice. Sorry but this is a no go.

Anyway the food is still great and I don't know and I don't even want to know what weird and disgusting stuff happens behind closed doors or walls at some other...

We came for the opening , hoping for a quick service. Staff doesn't speak english, that is ok, you can point and order. We ordered 5 different dishes to try, but we were told that we can't have them, that it's too much.... After 20min they came back again told us they don't have dumpings either....(we are down to 2 dishes) Food was not good at all,.... meat was undercooked and tough... If we got the dishes we ordered we might have enjoyed it a bit more with the variety on the table... but you know... Surely you can't have what you want in a restaurant...
