McDonald's — Restaurant in Frankfurt

McCafe. While wandering around Frankfurt terminal I was looking for a cappuccino and pastry to finish up the day. Unfortunately there seems surprisingly few true coffee shops to be found which had sit down tables, non pushbutton coffee machines and a selection of pastries/cakes or muffins.

In the terminal, the average price for an average cappuccinos start at €3 and the average sweet about the same.

I thought I would therefore try out the McCafe and see how they do it.

The MacDonald here is very large with the cafe situated on the left hand side with separate tables, chairs and lounges. The counter is separate to the burger side with its own cash register.

A medium sized cappuccino in a ceramic cup dine in costs €2,89 while the cheapest pastry was the cinnamon roll for €1,79.

The coffee had a little bit of a bitter aftertaste but drinkable and good value for money.

If you are in the terminal and looking for an economical sit down coffee and sweet then maccas well...

I asked if the cheese was plant based in the McPlant burger and 2 workers told me it was. So I ordered it. But while waiting for my burger to be made I had a strange feeling so I checked online and saw that it wasn’t. To be honest this is partly on me for not thoroughly checking beforehand. I was in a hurry to catch my train and thought of asking as the quickest option. I told them the cheese had dairy and the manager came and made sure I didn’t get cheese in my burger. The reason I’m writing this review is that no one took responsibility for this. I told the manager that he should probably train his staff better. But he insinuated that it was my fault for not checking the ingredients before hand on the screen (which I didn’t know I could do). Anyways, all this to say: be more professional. If you don’t know, double check rather than give whatever answer makes...

Don’t even deserve any stars, ridiculous and rude behavior. Have no respect for their customers. We came from our flight to this mcdonalds at Frankfurt airport on the 0 floor at 18:00. We ordered the mccrispy homestyle menus. When the lady came with the tray STILL IN HER HAND I asked if they were veggie homestyle and she said no and that I have to ask the manager myself for exchange. In stead of going to ask for the customer, she told us to do it ourselves. I went to ask the manager if she could exchange the untouched burgers, didn’t even greet me and said immediately no, and there’s a price difference, I said I’d pay that, but she said again no ; with poor English I didn’t even understand what she meant. Don’t recommend at all, I didn’t fee like eating it...
