NXT GEN KBP — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Today I ordered fried sweet potatoes from this place on Wolt and everything was fine until I found a cockroach at the bottom of my fries. It could’ve not gotten in during the delivery because first, it would’ve been still alive since the restaurant is just 600 m from where I live so pretty close… second it was at the very bottom of the dish and my fries came pretty smashed because I also ordered a soda and it was put on top of the wrapped and closed tray of fries, therefore very difficult for the animal to get in .. and third and last, because it was fried, the cockroach was kinda toasted too, so it was cooked along with the fries. I was very disgusted by the whole thing, it’s unacceptable and I really hope from now on the restaurant takes better hygiene measures since the food itself From past experiences is...

Last evening we were greeted by the son of the owner we assumed? He was very rude, visibly in a bad mood and wearing one earpod. He pressured me to order while I hadn’t even had a moment to look on the menu. When I clearly wasn’t done looking at the menu he kept asking what I wanted to order (mind you we were the only 2 people in the place). He was also on a call and couldn’t hear/understand the most basic german words. Should we have excused ourselves for interrupting his call? In my humble opinion this is not someone who should work in service. The ingredients were really good, but the sauce was only on the outside of the bread/filling; so after eating 1/2; the last 1/2 was without sauce…what a waste. Overpriced for this approach with the sauce and the rude...

Ich bin durch Bernd Zehner und seinen YouTube Kanal "deliziös" auf NXT GEN KBP gestoßen. Bestellt habe ich mir den "The Oriental" im Menü mit einer Portion Pommes und einem Getränk für ca. 12,90 € (10% Trinkgeld bereits eingerechnet). Insgesamt war es wirklich ein guter Döner, der jedoch einen stolzen Preis hat. Da jedoch die meisten Dönerläden ihre Preise bereits angezogen haben, finde ich, jedoch die zuvor erwähnte Summe für das Menü in Ordnung.

Personal: In meinen Augen gehört zu jedem Lokal, sei es Imbissbude, Restaurant etc. auch ein gutes und freundliches Personal. M.E ist das Personal bei NXT GEN KBP sehr freundlich und gut drauf. Dahingehend ist absolut nicht auszusetzen.

Kebab: Ich habe mich bewusst für den eher klassisch gehaltenen "The Oriental" entschieden, der nicht ganz so viel Schnickschnack enthält. Trotz dessen waren auch in diesem, eher klassisch gehaltenem Kebab, Komponenten wie Röstzwiebel, Auberginen und gegrillte/gebratene Paprika vorhanden. Das verleiht dem ganzen nochmal eine frische, die man von einem "normalen" Döner nicht gewohnt ist. Das Brot ist sehr dünn und knusprig. Der Geschmack ist wirklich Top. Das einzige Problem ist, dass es schnell mal in der Mitte reißt bzw. bricht, was das Esserlebnis ein wenig stört, da die Soße rausfließt und einzelne Komponenten herausfallen können. Das Fleisch ist für meinen Geschmack ein wenig zu trocken gewesen. Bitte nicht falsch verstehen, das Fleisch war nicht trocken, ich bin nur ein Fan von etwas fettigerem Fleisch, Geschmacksache halt.

Pommes: Nun zur größten Enttäuschung, den Pommes. Geschmacklich waren die Pommes zwar super und man bekommt auch Ketchup und Mayo dazu, jedoch war die Portion sehr sehr klein. Und mein Gefühl sagt mir, dass man nun wirklich nicht an den Pommes sparen sollte. Vor allem nicht, wenn man für ein Dönermenü bereits zweistellige Summe verlangt. Diese Portion mal 1,5 wäre schon sehr gut, damit alles immer noch verzehrt werden kann und nicht im Müll landet.
