I am a Marriot Bonvoy Elite Member and am "schocked" about how bad this hotel actually is. For me a Marriot Bonvoy hotel always stood for top notch quality but after staying in the "Le Meridien Frankfurt" I will be very cautious im future. Over the years I have stayed in many 5* hotels and believe me, this one was the worst ever. No matter if we talk about interior (welcome back to the 80s), the hygiene (dirty coffee mugs), the food quality & options (pls see "breakfast buffet" pics below) or the service (incompetent and unfriendly) its all below par and very disappointing. When I pay a premium price, then I expect a premium experience. Let me just give you one particular example from the breakfast this morning: So breakfast starts at 7am. We have entered the breakfast hall at 7:15ish...there was one hotel employee who was obviously quite in the rush still frantically setting up the breakfast although there were already 5/6 tables dining. We -and others who arrived after us- stood in front of the bar asking the lady were to sit and where the breakfast was but she was too busy to finish organising some drink bottles to deal with us. So we literally stood there for 5 minutes and waited for her to talk to us again...When we asked about the bread (which was wrapped up due to Covid) she couldn't tell us which was which as she didn't have time to set that up yet either.... Couldn't get any worse? Well in the "Le Meridien Frankfurt" it can. We decided to have a coffee first but guess what...yep, the machine was not ready yet either. Then there suddenly was hope, a second hotel employee entered the scene. I have asked her about the empty shelves with no ham and cheese and asked her if she could get this sorted. In a rather unfriendly fashion she said she would "deal with it" and disappeared again leaving the other, obviously overwhelmed employee, alone again. In the meantime the scenery was becoming more and more chaotic. Guests, desperate for a coffee, were going into the lobby to get themselves a coffee there next to where new arrivals were checking in. Here I also spotted the lady who promised me to deal with the empty breakfast shelve situation. I had a letter on me which I needed to be send which is standard 5* service - but of course not in the "Le Meridien Frankfurt". Although i talked to her literally just 10minutes ago she asked me if I was a guest of the hotel and that I could find a post box outside myself. I then asked again if they couldn't dispatch it for me and that everything was paid and she then toon the letter of me while rolling her eyes - i know, epic 5* hotel experience :-) This is a 1h snippet of our stay just to give you an idea what was going on in that hotel. Now I am just sad that I have paid that much money for sth that bad. I urge you do not stay here. You are literally better of staying at a Motel One for a fraction of the price that you pay here. This is not a 5* standard hotel, dont be fooled by the...

I don’t even know where to start. I have been staying at this hotel for the last 4 months and I don’t have a single negative thing to say about this lovely hotel. As a Bonvoy Member I always receive a great upgrade into spacious rooms with amazing views. The welcome gift is also a very nice gesture by staff.
The rooms are fresh, modern, well equipped and always spotless clean. I really have to point out their beds. If you’re spending your entire year in hotels, you really know what a good bed feels like. These here are definitely amazing beds with great pillows, big cover and very comfortable. I love sleeping in on saturdays and waking up with the sun in my face.
This hotel also set a new German standard for hospitality as I know pretty much every Marriott Group Hotel in Germany. There is so much personal service, individual request fulfillment and friendliness of staff, that I was really blown away. No matter what time I check in, no matter what request I have and no matter how busy they are, they have always have a „non-fake“ smile on their face and welcome you with a friendly greeting. At this point I want to mention Mrs Leonore Guni who became like a personal hotel Assistent to me. She surely knows how to treat regular guests, knows their requests and really makes a big effort to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Always up for a little chat and making sure you’re enjoying your stay to the fullest. Every hotel should have a „Leo“ to take care of their regulars.
The hotel also makes a great effort to give their guests most possible safety during corona crisis, nevertheless providing great breakfast and service.
When I go home for the weekends and come back Sunday evenings, it almost feels like I come back home just in a different city when I stay at the Le Meridien, especially because I always get the same room.
I really highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great service and professionalism combined with personal service.
Thanks to the entire team and Leo for taking such...
Read moreWe stayed at Le Méridien Frankfurt for 8 days in mid-December. The entire stay was wonderful. The hotel is a short walk to the main train station which was very convenient. It was also an easy walk along the river to get to the main part of town. As others mentioned in their reviews there are some sketchy streets a few blocks over but I never felt threatened when I ventured out to get food and drink. The hotel is far enough away where regular traffic for that area really isn't an issue.
The check in was very smooth and efficient. They were expecting our arrival and were able to check in early. We stayed in the newer wing and the rooms were clean, spacious and quiet. The shower in the bathroom was amazing with a rain shower nozzle and hand held nozzle. Water pressure was excellent and plenty of hot water. Towel warmer was a nice touch. Cleaning staff did a nice job of keeping room clean and supplied with fresh towels and bathroom necessities.
The front desk staff warmly greeted us each morning as we left for that day's adventures and again when we returned at night. They were very helpful in suggesting sites to see in Frankfurt. They provided us with some free passes to see local museums.
The dining area staff were also very friendly and attentive, especially the morning crew. The breakfast buffet was outstanding and was the icing on the cake (so to speak) on a great stay. The variety and quality of the food offered was excellent. I ended up gaining 5 pounds on the trip but that may have more to do with the number of brats and sweets eaten at the Christmas Markets.
We enjoyed some evening drinks in the Legacy Bar. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. It was just a nice place to unwind and relax after a busy day of sight-seeing. Also enjoyed the sauna after walking for miles in cold, rainy markets during the day.
Overall, it was a 10/10 stay for us. I would highly recommend staying at the Le...
