Crudo - It was too bad the plum wasn't sweet at all, as it didn't add any contrasting flavor to the dish. The freshness of the fish was okay, but the dish could have been more balanced. For the ravioli with langoustine, I did not like the stark temperature difference between the warm ravioli and the cold langoustine😅 I also prefer the langoustine to be chunky, not shredded - I think more popping texture could be better as puree is already soft anyway. While the temperature and texture may have been intentional, I felt the dish had a couple of areas for improvement. Still, I ate it all. The parmigiano ball was not bad, but I haven't really seen any ‘bad’ parmigiano balls.. the exterior of the cheese ball was a tiny bit soggier than I would have liked. The slightly hardened cheese on the outside should be a bit more crispy than moist. I liked the leek mayo, but the seaweed on top didn't seem to add much to the flavor or texture. Overall, I think the dishes need a little more refinement if they are going to charge the current price. The service and atmosphere, were very good tho. Appreciated the wine too. Perhaps they are more of a bar than a restaurant so I should manage my...
Read moreThis is simply an amazing "tapas-style" experience. When I arrived in Frankfurt from Copenhagen (reason 0 for new Nordic food culture) I was surprised. Surrounded by kebabs, pizza and even MD, this modern bar-restaurant is a gourmet temple. The servings consist of small "to-share-dishes" of really well-cooked food served beautifully. Although the dishes are simple, the curious eye quickly discovers the chef's sense of detail. At this restaurant there is room to play with ingredients and textures. We can highly recommend beef shoulder, the red lentils and goat cheese with chicory, walnut and garden herbs. All servings come with homemade bread, which are the best breads I have had on my many trips to Germany. The staff is fried, fast and accurate. We will definitely visit this place another time - hungry for more. PS, the main target group for this restaurant is copples, families with grown children. Also note, do not expect large portions. Here, quality and perception are king,...
Read moreVery nice atmosphere, amazing whine and drinks. The food was good, some dishes where amazing (aparagus, musroom toast, tartar and fish, however some dishes could be improved, like the codd crochett that was too salty, and the gnocci being undercooked).
Improvement in the sharing concept should be refined.
We were seven, and gave the waiter 100% trust in ordering for us. When we got the first serving . the bread there was only 6 pieces which made it unnecessarily difficult to share equaly. This issue continued through out most of the dishes - including the desert, where there was to scoops og ice cream, no extra plates, or spoons other than our own, to share in a hygienic way.
But the service was very very good, and they were very nice to accomodate a vegan and a vegetarian.
Overall a very...
