HORRIBLE: DO NOT COME HERE My friends and I had the WORST unacceptable experience here, due to a staff member named Teresa. Me & one friend had booked their last room and our other two friends had booked one close by, as there was only one room here. When we went to check in, Teresa was rude & condescending as soon as she walked through the door. Kept telling us that other things were more important than helping us, made fun of us for things beyond our control. Acted like getting us our room was a huge favor. We got to the room & it was nothing like pictured at all, so small that the door could hardly fully open without hitting the bed. We parked our car in the lot & us and our two friends (in the other hotel) came up to our hotel room to relax before we got dinner. We had been there 5 minutes when there was a knock on the door from “housekeeping”. We replied that we did not need anything. She continues to hang on the door & demand we open up instantly. She barges in and tells us that we are trying to sneak people in & she “knows people like us”. Said we had too much luggage for 2 people (I’ll admit I’m not the lightest packer, which should not be an issue). We explained that they had another hotel room as there was only one here and we wanted to spend time together. It was 6 pm, not a time people usually go to sleep...she screams at us that we have 5 minutes to leave before she calls the police. We again try to explain & show proof that they had another room but she just harrassed us & slammed the door before we could show her the other reservation. We walked downstairs to leave the hotel to go to our friends other room, as we walk by she tells us we need to get out. We say we are getting out, we are walking to the door to leave & go to the other hotel..she then says she “doesn’t like our attitude” and tells us we needed to leave immediately and she was going to call the police. I have never been treated so badly and harrassed by a “customer service” professional in my life. She kicked us out of our hotel because we had friends? It was 6pm, there was no alcohol in the room, she accused us of having a party. Our friends were in our room to wait while we got ready, they had another room which we had proof of, which she refused to look at. I felt so uncomfortable by her I was almost glad to leave. She needs to be fired immediately, as I can’t imagine that is the kind of person you would like representing your hotel. I’m astounded that this women is allowed to interact with customers, with her condescending & harassing behavior. Probably should have called the...
Read moreThis was my 2nd stay at Leonardo Frankfurt City Center and I would definitely choose the hotel for my next stay in Frankfurt. Room: Spacious, very clean, comfortable bed (we both slept really well), quiet even though it's in a busy location, nice bathroom / shower, good facilities (Nespresso, water, shower gel etc). Very good value for money. Staff: On both my stays I received a warm welcome and both check-in and check-out were very quick and easy. Fabian, who dealt with both, was friendly, courteous and very helpful. Another special mention goes to Astrid, who was in charge of breakfast (and many other things). She was super friendly and helpful with every guest, made time for little chats with guests and made a genuine effort to cater for guests' wishes and make everyone feel welcome. She's an absolute treasure and having staff like her and Fabian is a great asset to have. It's rare to find this kind of service in a big chain city centre hotel. Breakfast: There was a good choice of food to cater for different tastes and provide variety for a satisfying breakfast. I noticed one guest who seemed unhappy because she couldn't get exactly what she wanted. Of course, no one can offer what isn't on the menu or doesn't even exist and no one can expect anything that simply isn't there. I expect choice and variety which was definitely there. In addition, the service was excellent and ensured 2 rooms full of happy people. Location: Well, it's Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel. Some hate it, some love it. I think it's a great location, vibrant ,lots of good places to eat and drink, easy to get anywhere, walking distance to the river. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Leonardo...
Read moreThe staff of this hotel are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is average but I cannot believe how many of these reviews fail to mention how rough the area is that this hotel is in. We stayed here for 2 nights in April and although the staff are nice, nothing can make up for the dangerous environment that is right outside this hotel. We made sure to be back into the hotel before dark because I witnessed people passing by and getting shouted at by men who were clearly not sober in any sense of the word. There are copious amount of drug addicts hanging around outside this hotel across the street, they are in gangs of 30 people or more and they are openly injecting themselves on the streets. There was white dried in stains on the curtains of our room and the window sills had mould on them but other than those two horrible factors, the room was spacious and ok. Our safe stopped working while my belongings were inside it so I had to ask reception for help and she told me that it was the third time in a week she has had to fix that safe so I am not sure why they didn't just mention at check in not to use the safe. Also, on the second night of our stay we realised there was a nightclub two doors down that seemed to open at midnight and played music until 4am, I could not believe how loud the music was, it kept me awake because it sounded like the music was playing in my room that's how loud it was. I am sorry to say but I would not recommend anyone to stay here. It is not a safe area and there is really nothing for anyone to do in this...
