Restaurant Biondo — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Racist treatment causes me to write this review. I went to the restaurant with a white friend. Every time I asked the waitress a question, she spoke to my friend with the answer. I wasnt finished eating at one point and the waittress asks my friend if we were done eating. I told the waitress, Michelle, about this - I said: "Every time I ask you a question, you answer my friend." Her reply was mortifying: "I figured that he (my white friend) would understand my broken english better"... So does that mean that because I'm black I cant understand someone trying to communicate with me?!? I am VERY insulted! I belong to Mensa and ISPE, so I am certified 'not stupid', but your staff made me feel like an illiterate. My first trip to Germany and this is how I am treated. Really nice place, few meters side from the main streets, which makes the difference. I ate below a tree outside on a nice terracce. It was pretty early on a hot day, there was only a few people outside, but can imagine the atmosphere is nice later as its getting more people in (been told that after 19 its full). Wir waren an einem Freitag Abend zu viert Essen. Das Restaurant war komplett ausgebucht, daher empfehlen wir eine Reservierung, um einen Platz zu bekommen. Das Interior ist sehr geschmackvoll gewählt und modern gestaltet. Einziger Abzug (deshalb beim Ambiente „nur“ vier Sterne) ist die Geräuschkulisse. Da jeder Platz besetzt war und die Stimmung ausgesprochen gut, wurde viel gelacht und die Leute haben sich zum Teil laut unterhalten, was sich in der Fläche bemerkbar macht. Die Stimmung spricht für das Restaurant an sich und vielleicht kann bei der Akustik nachgebessert werden. Der Gesamteindruck des Restaurants ist aber top und ein Besuch absolut empfehlenswert. Sobald das Wetter die Nutzung des Außenbereichs zulässt, werden wir auch diesen gerne testen. Nun zum eigentlichen Highlight des „Biondo“. Die Kombination des Essens und dem Service. WOW. Die Gerichte haben ausnahmslos super geschmeckt und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut. Zudem war der Service hervorragend und sehr persönlich.
